And yet, just 15 years after the end of WWII, American military personnel and families were stationed in Japan. I know because mine was one of them. Just think! Only 15 years after the end of the war, the country that was Japan made a a total 180 degree about-face in such a short period of time. I’ve always found that incredibly fascinating.

I've heard it said that going forward, we'll see many more radically left candidates being selected, put forth to run by the demonrats. All they care about is total raw power and sticking it to MAGA.
That’s opposite my experience (high school/college 1971-1978 central-northeast PA). I recall nearly most, and likely all my teachers/educators to have been very professional, mature, adult-like, caring, and who set good examples in attitude, dress, and conduct. That’s what I remember, what it was like back then, at least in my little corner of the world.

Based on rumors of William (which I hope and pray are unsubstantiated...that he had an affair), I hope that are not true, and that he can, indeed, turn things around. Katherine is so beautiful, hopefully inside and out, and that William would not throw away their relationship over an indiscretion. But then who knows, seems pretty common these days, whether royalty or not.

Totally unrelated...I was in NH in late 2019 and again in 2022, and shopped at the local Market Basket. Must say that I liked it very much. I recall seeing some of the nicest, most beautiful produce I remember ever seeing in a store. So very nice, and I loved the fried turkey parts (legs, thighs, etc.). I’m in SC and have never seen such plentiful, high quality produce in a grocery store. Yes, Market Basket seems like a very nice, good quality grocery chain.
