You're not going to win with these people. They cling on to these wild ideas that she doesn't have PVS , when in fact she does. They continuosly bring up the CT scan , EEG, and need for MRI or PET yet can't explain how any of these scans would change outcome. They call the husband an abuser without any evidence except hearsay from websites. They state all she needs is the right thearapy and she will talk and feed herself. I've tried to have a debate with them but it's impossible.
Very true Melas, it's amazing how objective people turn into such one sided bigots if they don't agree with the outcome. After 15+ years of no improvement, many believe that she will one day talk and feed herself is truely unbelievable.

How many doctors said she is in a PVS and how many say she isn't? I'm talking about doctors who saw her? Almost always doctors disagree. What's important is the ratio of yes and no.

The house vote was for show. There won't be droves leaving the democratic party....when has that ever happened. Take a look at the polls. Around 25% of republicans agree with the ruling. and on the freeper poll 15.7% of freepers agree with the ruling. Are you afraid of all these republicans leaving the party? That has never happened either.

Here is my take on the after effects.
First, the majority of americans agree with the decision. Therefore I don't think on the grand scale this will mean anything long term and there will not be any new legislation with regards to this case.
Second, most lawmakers who voted against the bill live in predominantly democratic areas and elections are over 1 year away.
