MEXICO – The ex-presidential candidate for Mexico’s ruling National Action Party, or PAN, Diego Fernandez de Cevallos, was kidnapped near his ranch in the Pedro Escobedo municipality in the central Mexican state of Queretaro, the federal Attorney General’s Office (PGR) said on Saturday. The AG office said in a brief communique that on Friday “it learned that Diego Fernandez de Cevallos has gone missing†and added that his vehicle was found at La Cabaña ranch showing signs of violence.
