The crazies in blue states are doubling down on Climate Change(tm).

Colorado just required all Coloradans to get rid of natural gas heat and replace it with electric. Electric is 4x as expensive AND houses with gas boilers for hot water heating (many many Coloradans) will have to completely duct their homes, which were never designed for ducting. Aside from the extra money going to the utility company, that will be a 50-100 K cost for many homes to duct them.

They are not backing down one tiny bit.

This would not go well for Schiff. Trump has destroyed one after another of the folks who challenged him and many of them are much more agile and experienced speakers than Schiff.

Amendment 14 cannot be unconstitutional. It is in the Constitution.

Therefore, although Congress has the right to enforce Amendment 14, Amendment 14 does not gain it’s motive power from Congress. Amendment 14 declares the law of the land without help from Congress.

If Trump’s interpretation of the Amendment is correct, no further action from congress is needed.

This is a strange article. The question is, what did the 14th amendment mean? The article treats the issue as whether the President can “reinterpret” the constitution.

The actual question is can the president “interpret” the constitution.

Our written constitution is only a minor impediment to tyrants. See NDAA, Arctic Frost, Civil Asset Forfeiture, and our almost non-existent protections against search and seizure.

Maybe. But this is a huge dilemma for the left. On the one hand, mines that are actually doing stuff. On the other, green victory over the evil mining industry but they don’t get their smart phone or EV every time China yanks their chain.
