Who said anything about being accomplished? I think the point was it's never easy doing the right thing. What would you suggest should be the strategy?

As for me and My house...

Lately I have been looking back to the period leading up to the 2000 presidential election. I remember everyone using the cowardly phrase "their both idiots" and "there's no difference" to describe then candidate Bush and Gore for President. I say cowardly because this was just a way of staying out of the difficult discussion about what it took to be President. Thanks to Bill- and Bill only, not Ken Star, Rush or the Republicans- we had to constantly hear about stains on a dress, cigars where the sun don't shine and "lewinsky's" under the desk while on the phone with Senators and Foreign Leaders. It's no wonder the terrorist felt so confident and able to attack us. Our commander in chief was to busy weaseling his way out of his own trouble to think about the real trouble we faced as a nation.

I can't tell you how proud I was to be an American when I saw George W. Bush being sworn in as President. For the first time in many years we no longer had to worry about the integrity (It seems that daily the left is sending assault after assault to destroy the integrity of W, something they willing over looked with his predecessor) of the oval office and that is important.

Then there was September 11, 2001.

    Thank God for W!

Suddenly the world got to see what I meant to be President and Commander in Chief of the United States of America:

No more meaningless missiles into aspirin factories and empty tents. No more refusals to arrest or destroy Bin laden and other terrorists over fears of legal issues. No more waiting on our enemies to gather enough might to strike us. No more fear of what a few countries and so called allies think of us. No more empty and meaningless warnings to tyrants and enemies of freedom.

What we have seen is freedom, liberty, and hope planted where the world only three years ago said would be impossible. Just think about it. My God, we are on the verge of turning the tide of freedom in the Middle East starting in Afghanistan and Iraq. Only three years ago the enemies of freedom ruled these countries and today they stand hand in hand with us and look to us for help as they forge their own democracies.

    What an amazing turn around!

Again I must say "thank God for W". What would we be doing right now as a nation if Gore had been elected? I shutter to think about it! Just look at him now. He has become a pathetic caricature of a ranting hate filled leftist. Gore now says we faced no threat from Saddam even though while in office his own administration's policy was regime change. Gore and others like him are actually comparing Bush with Hitler. They have the nerve to call him a liar. They are knowingly and willingly distorting the truth about the threat we face, and for what? Power. How pathetic!

Are there problems? Yes. Have there been difficulties? Yes. Are we guaranteed success? No. Doing the right thing is never easy and evil will fight like hell when it is confronted, but we must have the courage to continue on in the hopes to overcome evil with good.

What so many said didn’t really matter has proven to be perhaps the most important decision we have ever made. My friends we are now faced with another choice and it is clear. Whatever your leanings are, republican or democrat, you must be honest with yourself and realize that the world is changing and these are perilous times. What we need is a selfless leader willing to protect the US by spreading liberty to the world, and confronting evil at the door, even if it cost him everything. That is the kind of man that deserves to be President, and as for me and my house? We are with you President Bush!
