You Posted: I would like to see a list of specific deficiencies the homo lobby wants "corrected." I think the state should butt out of any arrangements two individuals want to make with regards to their personal property. As to insurance benefits, those are not provided by the government, and should not be the government's concern. Take it up with the insurance company. Social Security? Allow a beneficiary to be designated.

As far as inheritance, a will can be made out to leave an estate to anyone. Michael Jackson could leave Neverland to his monkey.

But none of these things constitute a marriage, at least not in the fullest sense of that word. For that, a spiritual recognition is necessary. And I am free to withhold that recognition all the while honoring the legal arrangements between two homosexuals.

My reply: I know how all the posts on this web site are anti gay, so I'll jsut say this and leave. Regarding your comment above- Well I guess no hetrosexual athiests are married then right? I have a hard time at this web site reading the "hetrosexual agenda".. No personal atttacks please, it makes you look small..

You posted: Ah, excuse me, but who is the bigot here? When I went to the Middle East I don't remember hearing church bells ringing all over the place. Do church bells ring in any Muslim country? I doubt it. I do remember hearing lots of calls to prayer in the Middle East but I did not complain about it, obviously, because I was the visitor in those foreign lands.

My reply: Well if we can bring democracy, and we need a strong military for that, to these Middle east Countires there is the hope that Church Bells will ring. I am getting off of this thread. Peace and Love to All....

The Only reason Dell is bringing some jobs back is becasue of Csutomer reaction. We should learn form this. Every time we have to talk to someone in India when we call a business we should complain like HELL.

It makes me sick to see these jobs going to India. Good for Dell for recognizing that American Dolars who are buying their products don't like talking to India!

My reply: You missed my point. I like the chrch bells, it is a souce of constancy in my life. However I repect the right of the Muslims to have a call to prayer.

I wish you would not make such nasty comments like "If you don't want to hear church bells then go join your friends in the Middle East" it re-inforces my point about what I dont' like about this web site, intolerance of religion, and intolerance of sexaul orientation. I am pro-religion and mine happens to be Christian. I am pro - Life. I am pro-military. I am against euthinasia. I am tolerant of all peoples to practice theri religion, I respect gays and encourage them to secure their civil rights. I am not sure where I stand on gun control. And I know about the second amendment and all that. Actually the more I think about it I am probably more Libertarian than Conservative.

I do believe that in tis country if the Christian kids can't pray out loud to Jesus at the start fo the school day, and at best get a moment of silence, then the children who practice the Islam religion are not going to get excused form class to kneel down and pray out loud XX times a day. If they want to practice their religion then they will need to go to privatly funded religios based schools which is where my kids went to school.

Freedom to practice ones religion also means that I am free not to have your relgion rammed down my throat.

Practicing the Islamic religion doesn't give you a get out of jail free card for not getting a full face photograph on a drives license either, as some Islamic women have requested. In other words you cant[' use your religion as an excuse to not follow the law.

The moment we sanction any religion, or set in place the idea that it is our right to define the personal religious beliefs of some by refusing to recognize their religion, we begin emulating their religious intolerance, and we try to enter into the realm of religious fanaticism ourselves.

I personally have no problem with people choosing to be Christian, Jewish, Buddhists or Moonies. I don't even have a problem with those who choose to sacrifice small furry critters to the Immortal Cthulhu.

When people belonging to a particular religion start targeting people for death just because they don't belong, that gets my attention. When I observe the situation to be globally widespread, that gets my attention even more

My Reply: Yes I do agree with you on this point which is why WE need a strong military so that we can continue to defend all peoples to practice their religion. Hopefully in Iraq Christians will soon be able to worship... The Muslim Religion is best practiced in a secular (is that right? secular means non-religious, right?)It gets my attention that so much terroism is practiced in the naem of Islam. My only hope is that these are the extrimists, kindo fo like the Klu Klux Klan of Islam. However it does get my attention which is why I support our military and George Bush's view of policy as it relates to Ithe religion of Islam.

If the Muslim Call to Prayer is bothersome to you then what about the churchbells ringing in the Christian Churches? Are those okay, are they not the same thing as the Muslim call to prayer?

"Our country is based on the principles of Judeo-Christian."

Our country has always been based on the principles of freedom of speech, thought, religion, association...freedom.

To make the claim that our country was based on the principles of Judeo-Christianity would be making the argument that our country was founded on the principles of religious intolerance, which as we all know, is the absolute end result of any government based on strict theocratic principles.

My reply: I absolutly agree with YOU! The USA is not a Theocracy it is a democracy, with freedom of religion for all. Businesses have the right to bse their business on religion if they want to OR NOt. If a raido station wants to have a muslim Call to Prayer it is their choice.

If muslims don't want to listen to the radio stations that play my CHRISTmas music they can change the channel. If I dont' want to listen to radio stations that have a Muslim Call to Prayer then i will change the station.

The one thing that bothers me about this "Conservative" web site is the lack of religious tolerance for other religions. I happen to be Christian however I am cognizent that other people have a different religion than I do, and I am thankful that in the USA we don't have a National Religion. No way to I want this country to be run on Religion, Christin or otherwise...

Ohioan, THANKS for finding that post for pc93.

These were long distance calls for me so they will show up on my phone bill.

The Court Liason, Ron said that he was in Geroge greer's office 1/2 and hour ago and spoke with Greer's assistant (I believe he might have said secretary, it was either secretry or assistant one of the 2)and said that Judge Greer woul NOT schedule a hearing on the Schindlers "Get Rid of Michael as Guardian Case" and I quoted the exact case number because I had it in front of me just like I posted the case number here on Free Republic, until after the Jeb Bush this is unconstituitional law suit was settled. I had a minute or so discussion with him pushing him on this asking him to clarify why this case should not move forward, why it had to wait on the Jeb Bush case. At least 3 times he told me that the two cases were connected and Judge Greer would not scheule the Guardian case until after the Jeb Bush case was settled, because and this is a direct quote "the other law suit will decide everything, so Judge Greer will not schedule a hearing on the other case until after the Constituitional case." Further he told me that I would not be able to get the date of the next George Greer hearing even though he is the Court Appointed Liason on this case, that I would have to get this from the Defendents or Plaintifs lawyers, that the Judge was only obligated to tell the lawyers the dates and no one else. I hung up wondering what good it is having a Court Liason if he won't give out public information like a Hearing date????

He said that his information was accurate as of a half an hour ago when he was in Greers office and got the information from Judge greer's assistant/secretary.

You Posted: Carla had to move because MS was stalking her in the past, while she went to court over the insulin bottles.

Okay I found the part about the insulin. This is in Carla's Affidavit the full text is found on TerrisFight.org:

When Michael visited Terri, he always came alone and always had the door closed and locked while he was with Terri. He would typically be there about twenty minutes or so. When he left Terri would would be trembling, crying hysterically, and would be very pale and have cold sweats. It looked to me like Terri was having a hypoglycemic reaction, so I’d check her blood sugar. The glucometer reading would be so low it was below the range where it would register an actual number reading. I would put dextrose in Terri’s mouth to counteract it. This happened about five times on my shift as I recall. Normally Terri’s blood sugar levels were very stable due to the uniformity of her diet through tube feeding. It is my belief that Michael injected Terri with Regular insulin, which is very fast acting.

I'm not going to post any more messages. You have no more to fear from gay marriage than you have from interracial marriage. As the Supreem Court said, citizens have a right to privacy, especially in their bedrooms. I made my point, and am perfectly happy to move on.

    "My plight" ???

Rather it is my JOY! My children are terrific human beings abundant with compasion and love. Both are high achievers, graduating with honors from top universities and volunteering in their communites and beyond. My son has a souple hour a week part time job with his church and a yar form now will be in Africa with the Peace Corps. This is in addition to the volunteer work he did rebuilding dilapidated homes in Hazard West Virgina with his church. He also does food walks for the hungry and other community works.

My daughter vounteers for the Special Olymics, home tutors students with emotional diabilites, and other community service. They lead rich full lives, their lives are not centered around "the Gay Agenda." Like all Gays they know what it is like to be marginalized by society (peopel liek the posters on this message board)and they help others in their community and beyond on a regular ongoing basis.

My Plight? I think not, rather they are my Pride. I am proud of their achievments and what they do for humainty. They learned it at home and being gay is just a part of their lives it is not their whole life.

I don't think you all here get it. My children are accepted in their workplaces and by the community. You and your opinions are now in the minority. The tide has turned and you don't realize it. Being gay for them is just a matter of fact and it is taken that way by others they work and interact with.

    Yippie!!!!
I am thrilled about this decision. Both my son and my daughter are Gay. I didn't make them that way they both were brought up Lutheran completing their grade school years in a Lutheran School.

Wether you believe it or not gays are just plain born gay. It is not a choice nor a lifestyle. Look, do you choose a "hetrosexual lifestyle" or are you just pain old heterosexual because that is how you were born? Neither of my kids were "molested" in any way in their lives which resulted in them turning out gay. That is a fallicy that hetrosexuals like to promote to make it seem like being gay is being damamged. It isn't.

This is the era for Gay rights, the same rights that blacks won in the civil war and again in the 1960's. We have progressed as a nation, from slavery, to womens right to vote, to the Civil Rights era, too protection for Americans with Disabilities. NOW is the era where gays will have their civil rights just like anybody else.

Hey I don't look in your bedroom windows at night to see what you are doing, stay out of my kid's bedrooms and lives. Next you will be wanting them to drink from another drinking fountain and sit on the back fo the bus.

My daughter is a teacher and her partner is a physician and they wnat to get married. They are not huring you no more than the interacial couple down the street.

Don't force your religion and beliefes on others. This is a free country and if two people Love each other and want to marry it should be no concern of yours if they are male/male, female/female, or male/female. Love is what counts. And I see more love and compassion in them for humaity than I see in a lot of you via reading your posts.

It is no wonder you don't see very many Blacks in the republican party, you see even less gays. Pretty soon you are going to figure out that your opinion is a minority opinion.

Signed - A mother with Gay Pride.
