Art is 60 years old, going on 61 this year.

She just graduated from college, putting her no higher than 23. If she were in her late 20s, would Art have kept calling her a "twentysomething" instead of just stating her age?

What struck me most is how infatuated Art seemed with her physical beauty. Nothing about her hobbies, common interests or life goals besides her having just graduated college. Repeatedly to the point of comedy, he kept egging on his listeners to check out Airyn's picture. He views her as a chunk of flesh and is deliriously happy because a grandpa like himself could land a 21-year-old.

Art must know she can't take his money when they split because there's no divorce in the Philippines.

The funniest thing is how Art's ham buddy married Airyn's sister. Can you imagine how it feels to be Mr. Ruiz? In one day, your two daughters trade away their innocence to two lecherous American men old enough to be YOUR dad.

Tell me about it. Art's gone nuts. You're telling me he loves this girl? He sees her as a chunk of Asian meat -- that's all.

Art's pretty smart; even if he does "love" her, didn't he anticipate the negative reaction? I mean, a Filipino woman? A 21-year-old Filipino woman? How more stereotypically white-male mail-order can you get?

I find this disgusting. Art:

- Married someone 40 years younger
- Married someone less than five months after his wife died
- Married someone after less than five months of courtship
- Married someone from a different culture and country

Do we really need to call Dr. Laura to find out whether this relationship is acceptable -- let alone marriage? Puh-leaze. Art disgusts me.

My educated guess at reality: Art's ham buddy knew he had a thing for Asian girls and hooked him up with a poor 21-year-old from the Philippines. I can't believe Art's foolish enough to think it was a sign from Ramona. Perhaps he suspects the truth, but is so entranced by young flesh that he is blissfully ignoring the obvious.
