No, I didn’t bash Bush. I had hopes that he would follow the Republican platform of a smaller, more limited government and get spending under control. I was disappointed when he and the other Republicans seemed to be almost as eager to increase spending as the Democrats.

I used to post a lot over here during the nineties, but then I got kind of disillusioned when this seemed to become a site that was more geared towards supporting Republicans even when they voted like Big Government Democrats. It used to be that there was a lot of good debate on freedom and liberty topics. I'm hoping that maybe that could come back.

Bush, our current president, was not a war hero. Granted this was not his first elected office, but he had led no armies to victory.

Of course, I can’t say that he has done very well in his position as Commander in Chief.

I have no problem electing a non-warrior to office. Maybe they will be better at diplomatic solutions to problems. I see wars as a total failure of politicians to achieve a solution without destruction and loss of human life. Meaning they have done a poor job.

I don’t know what candidate you support for President. But supporting someone for President and being passionate and committed about it does not constitute joining a cult. It is a basic part of our American system.

Ron Paul is not a fraud, he is honest and has been consistent about his beliefs his entire political life. You may not agree with him, but calling him a fraud is inaccurate, as is calling his following a cult.

Your resorting to a starred out obscenity shows that you apparently are at a loss for real words, so I will forgive you for your poor understanding of words and what they mean.

I just heard Ron Paul yesterday in a PBS interview telling the lady that he doesn’t want White Supremicist supporters and certainly doesn’t agree with them. It really is just a ploy to discredit him by the media and people like you.

She said they were supporting him because they liked his limited government platform.

Well, I guess no one should be in favor of limited government because White Supremicists might agree with you and you would be tainted!

I like Alan Keyes. And Ron Paul. I think they are both good men and true Men of America.

You said “Paul’s reliance on the Constitution seems quaint, even strange”. MY GOD MAN, they have thrown out the rule of law in this country and are governing willy-nilly any way they please and you don’t think we should fix that.

You obviously don’t believe in the principles on which this Republic was founded.

Would you please give me a breakdown of all the supporters for all the candidates and what all of the affiliations are, good and bad, immediately, so that I can decide which candidate I support by looking at all of their supporters, rather than looking at what the candidate himself believes.

Au contraire, Ron Paul is for a strong national defense. He just thinks that if we declare war it should be done Constitutionally. He also believes we should run our foreign policy in such a fashion as to reduce our UNNECESSARY involvement in foreign affairs that are detrimental to our country.

By the way, I have to point out that the bad guys that you are shivering in your boots about were Saudi’s, not Iraqi’s. So we invaded the wrong country and Ron Paul voted against it. Smart man. I do not fear terrorists. I do fear an endless undeclared, unconstitutional bankrupting war against the wrong people.

If we bankrupt America, the “terrorist” boogymen will have accomplished their goal. They will have destroyed us. Ron Paul is addressing the economic reality. No other candidate is. Our unpayable deficit, our failing dollar, our mortgage crisis are all a result of the pursuit of foreign wars and the unchecked printing of money with nothing to back it up. I think that we did the Iraqi’s a great favor by going over there and solving their problems. We are destroying our own country to do it, however. We have nothing in our future but severe inflation and ultimately depression if we do not face the economic truth that we cannot pay to police the whole world.

Also, Ron Paul is absolutely right about the fact that by occupying Muslim countries, we are feeding the frenzy of hatred against us.

If anyone should come against us in our own country, I am sure that Ron Paul would respond appropriately and by following the RULE OF LAW, which in case you have forgotten is that quaint little thing called the Constitution.

In case you haven’t figured it out, all candidates that win anything do so by bringing together a diverse group of supporters. You can make anyone sound bad by naming any negative people from any group that might support them, but candidates do not pick who supports them. It is the other way around.

American is composed of many people with diverse views. Ron Paul is completely consistent in his support of the Constitution as the rule of law. If you don’t support the Constitution then you wouldn’t support Ron Paul.

It is not isolationist to want to end foreign wars and involvements that are bankrupting America and leaving our children with unpayable debts.

Personally, I am sick of what has happened to this country. It will not change until we vote for a candidate that will change things. Every other candidate for either party supports the status quo. They will drive America further into debt and destroy this country. Our currency is becoming worthless from a printing press run wild. Any candidate who does not address this issue is just a joke.

People are passionate about Ron Paul because they care about America and our precious freedom. That is something worth passion, worth everything. That is why they donate so much.

People are more interested in the economy because a few suicidal Arabs (self limiting problem) have caused us to bankrupt our country, which is allowing them to achieve their goal of destroying America.

By the way, it was Saudi’s, not Iraqi’s that attacked us. Duh. Apparently in our haste to make war, we invaded the wrong country. Ron Paul voted against that. Wow, that must make him a nutcase.

There is only one politician out there for President who is honest and telling the truth. Only one politician who has consistently taken a moral stand against corruption, waste and onerous taxation.

There is only one politician who addresses the issues of our massive deficit, the decline of the dollar, the massive inflation caused by the out of control printing of dollars by the Fed.

There is only one politician who is actually trying to end the foreign involvements and wars which have left us bankrupt ,a soon to be third world country, no longer free and the laughing stock of the rest of the solvent world.

That person is RON PAUL. If America does not wake up and realize this, we are doomed to be a has-been great country.

If you don’t vote for Ron Paul, you will get what you deserve. Instant Karma.

If you want to continue with endless war, then why don’t you personally pay for it, and your children, and their children, and their children (on and on).

Wait until they have their Total Information Awareness Network -- and that data gets stolen. I was told that I had to give my Social Security Number to get a pap smear. I said no. They said that the lab would not process my slide unless they had a SSN. I still said no. The Doctor came out and said that she agreed with me, it was an invasion of privacy. Nonetheless the receptionist lamented that it wasn't her, it was the lab.

I walked out and said they could deal with it any way they wanted. I don't know if they got the results back or not. I was so pissed.

Oh Lord, they're at it again. This is so disgusting. I am getting so depressed. But I faxed and will call and do my bit. The fact that they would even consider this shows how far our country has fallen.

Seems like when recruiting firefighters, one of the questions asked should be, "Do you belong to any eco-terrorist organizations, such as the Sierra Club, Friends of the Earth, Greenpeace etc.?"

Gee, instead of replying to you, I replied to myself. I must be getting sleepy sweating over a hot computer. Sometimes I have just nodded out with my fingers still on the keys. I wake up poised for action!

    What's the plan?

Yeah, if you're going to thin, you have to log. Clear areas are good as well. They stop fires dead and give you room to stage a battle if you need to. Twenty something years ago I was a forestry major in school. They were still teaching some common sense.

Now, they seem to learn some witless propaganda like "Mother Nature will take care of everything if we just give all the land to the government". Of course, it's government schools teaching this mind set.
