Did you see the video of the guy jumping into camera shot during the US Open awards? Simpson was laughing, Costas didn't like having his important moment ruined. More importantly, I see a new FR spoof, like the WTC Tourist of 10 years ago. This guy needs to be spliced into videos and photos of the campaign the rest of this year.

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama went for the defining television shot in Iraq and got it — pictures of hundreds of U.S. troops cheering wildly as he told them it was time for the Iraqis to take charge of their own future. The war zone photo opportunity produced a stunning show of appreciation for Obama from military men and women who have made great sacrifices, many serving repeated tours in a highly unpopular war.

Iraq: Full Coverage For a fine example of the media campaign against our government and our troops, see Yahoo's 'full coverage' of Iraq. Not one positive story, not one thing about our troops accomplishments.

I cannot believe no one has posted the solemn news that Little Tommy Daschle has gone down in flames. Let me be the first to post that I am DEEPLY SADDENED by this news today.

I am sure I am preaching to the choir today, but there are critical issues at hand that have, in my opinion, not been thoroughly discussed in the run-up to this election. In particular, I speak of an issue that has plagued our country - not coincidentally - since the Vietnam War. During the wars previous to Vietnam, America spoke with one united voice. That unified message was that we are committed to victory, and we will not relent. Today, the single obstacle that stands in our way in Iraq is the 'insurgency' made up of former Saddam regime members...

His body was found in the street near Dobson Road and Chandler Blvd., said Chandler police Sgt. Mark Franzen. Chandler police are investigating the shooting deaths of Stenson and another man, both of which occurred within two days of each other and about a...

The Pat Tillman (little) effect By Greg Garber ESPN.com While Pat Tillman's former Arizona Cardinals teammates sweat and grimace their way through an off-season conditioning program -- a heavy rotation of weight lifting and aerobic exercises -- Tillman faces the prospect of the ultimate sacrifice. A member of the elite Army Rangers, Tillman presumably is on the ground somewhere in the splintered country of Iraq. Deployed in early March along with the rest of the 75th Ranger Regiment, he and his comrades are working to liberate Iraq from the grip of Saddam Hussein. Tillman, at 26 years old, left a...

OSLO, Norway – Former Illinois Gov. George Ryan, who emptied the state's death row because he found the imposition of capital punishment unfair, is among those nominated for the 2003 Nobel Peace Prize. The nominating deadline – entries had to be postmarked Friday – brought a flood of last-minute names to the committee charged with selecting the winner of the prestigious award. It is presented on Dec. 10, the anniversary of Swedish creator Alfred Nobel's death in 1896. The winner, announced in mid-October, takes home approximately $1 million. "There is a lot of mail and many new proposals, but beyond...

Gulf War Vet, Teen-Ager Held in Sniper Case By Mark Wilkinson ROCKVILLE, Md. (Reuters) - A Gulf War (news - web sites) veteran and a teen-ager were arrested on Thursday in the sniper case that has terrorized the Washington area, as investigators fanned out across the country to search for evidence. The two were not immediately charged in the sniper case, although Muhammad was charged with violating U.S. gun...

MILWAUKEE -- How close was President George W. Bush to becoming baseball commissioner? If a new book by former baseball commissioner Fay Vincent is to be believed, very close. "Fay, what do you think about me becoming commissioner?" Bush asked Vincent several months after Vincent was forced out as commissioner in September 1992. Bush owned the Texas Rangers at the time. "I think it's a great idea," Vincent said. "Do you think I'd make a good commissioner?" Bush asked Vincent. "Absolutely," Vincent answered. "You're smart. You love baseball. Is it something you want?" Replied Bush: "Well, I've been thinking about...

Tax rebate not overly significant to Wal-Mart sales CHICAGO, Sept 5 (Reuters) - The world's largest retailer, Wal-Mart Stores Inc. I sent this to ABC News today. Dear ABC News: I do not regularly write to television networks, but I feel the need to do so right now. I am an avid follower of politics, and I rely on ABC News as well as cable news to stay informed. In particular, I look forward to watching 'This Week' on ABC each Sunday. I enjoy listening to all arguments made from the hosts and guests, but I have grown tired of the absurd commentary of George Stephanopoulos in recent months. I have enjoyed George in the past. In fact, I own ...

Tom Joyner is rallying his troops for a protest today. He has guests on that have 'verified' that black votes didn't count, that blacks were prevented from voting...even at gun point. Unfortunately, I do not have any information about the location of the rally, but hopefully someone else here can add relevant info. It would be good to get some people out there.
