I’ll not cut off my nose to spite my face. The greeter at the Costco here has a son fighting in Afghanistan and is as right wing as me. And the folks, most of them, are pretty friendly. I’ll keep shopping at Costco, but I am dying to see what repercussions this decision to put that overweight spokesperson on their cover has.

I wrote Costco Connection, and told them of my disgust, and let them know I’ll be buying things elsewhere when it makes economic senses.

And the money I save from shopping at Costco? It’ll go to causes I believe in, not to left wing lunatic causes.

I fixed mine too. It’s in the trash. So much for Algore helping the environment. His article caused a magazine to go straight to the trash, not the recycle bin. And he has not done anything for the economy either as I won’t be buying based on the ads in this issue. I did the same thing with the Michael Fox cover edition.

The editor at Costco mag needs to go, and this may be the article that puts him on the sidewalk.

And for all their talk about green, Costco has some great products. Unfortunately, they save people money, which gives those same people money to spend on trips and other carbon activities. So the management at Costco is delusional. If they really thought there was a problem, they’d raise their prices. And if the econuts are really out there like Costco thinks, why doesn’t Costco offer the Eco membership. All their eco members could pay a 10 percent fee on all purchases to help “mother earth”.
