You have to understand that by the time Kerry hit 'Nam they gave out purple hearts for scratching your face out on an op. If you went to sick call with a "wound" you were put in for a purple heart. Not to take anything away from purple heart recipients. Both GrandPa's have them from WWII, my Dad spent 2 1/2 tours in 'Nam in SF. Has a box full of them, he's the one that told me the story.

Thanks for the vets against Kerry link...I wanted some info on his service record. I'm very skeptical of "war heroes" who run for political office. I was always taught that the "heroes" are at Arlington!!! "Rangers lead the way"!!!

Yeah I hate the spending as well. But allot of the spending necessary. Remember to get a surplus Clinton decimated allot of defense, intelligence, etc. That money has to be spent. It's a damned if you do damned if you don't situation. I'm no political strategist but I think the strategy is in part this....Take some of the lefts give away schemes away from them...all to get reelected. Then concentrate on the most important issue in my mind....JUDGES!!!! The second term will be full of vetoes of spending bills..fighting for judges...kicking islamofacist ass!!! Who are you gonna support...Dean, Kerry, Mickey Mouse???? Like I always say..."it is what it is"...helps keep me sane!!

I agree!! When I was employed in the high tech sector they were very patriotic, very appreciative to be here. I love the "more American jobs going overseas" whining, like it's the Indians fault that they will do work lazy Americans have again screwed up!!!!

I think the Republican party should do 2 30 minute infomercials. One explaing tax cuts how the benefit everyone. Explain how when the Demoliars say "Tax cuts for the Rich" They are talking about your boss at the furniture factory and how if we raise taxes on those people NO NEW JOBS!!! or better benefits!!!

The second should be on the War on Terrorism...how Afghanistan and Iraq are just battles in this war. Explain how kicking Saddam out of power will in the LONG RUN make America safer!!

The American people need these things explained to them!! The society as a whole is so ignorant to the way things really work. It's such a fast food instant coffee culture (thank you Karl Marx, Jane Fonda, Jimmy Carter, Walter Cronkite, et AL)that people do not understand long term policy...all they see is right now. Yeah I know the graves you refer to. I was a Land Surveyor in the 90's(I am again, it's great to have a job you love). We did some work up there, for some of that development. I was doing a Topo survey across 120 several miles from the park and came across some entrenchment lines. Alot of people don't realize that the whole region was a battleground, we can't rope it all off.

Yeah I knew there was alot of development up there already. That would be the concern now..is what is going to go in there. Like I said I do hate the development...but it's already done. Once you get apartments and The Home Depot, the area is just shot out already (IMO). Do you trailer your horses to the park...or do they have facilities there??

Being a southerner from the area, I hate to see development come to the area...BUT, the federalies can buy the property just like anyone else. We should not allow sentiment to endanger private property rights!!
