  • Study Shows Left-Handers Have More Flexible Brains

I am a righty, but can write upside-down and backwards with either my right or left hand. When I write with my left hand, I am more comfortable writing upside-down and backwards then right-side up and forwards. Strange, especially as I can write simultaneously with both hands, the right going right-side up and forwards and the left going upside-down and backwards.
  • What tax bracket am I in?

I agree, $100,000 salary is close to $57,000 after all federal, state and payroll taxes, or $1,100 per week. With a family, etc., that is not wealthy. It is better than a family on $50,000 gross salary, true, but it is not wealthy.

Truly hideous. I wait each year for the tiume - that is quite a jump (5.6%). Fairly soon, I am sure, there will be no limitation at all...

There are definately too many people having children today that shouldn't have them. This is a perfect instance of one of those people making the right decision for once. I may not like this woman's tone, but I, for one, am very happy that she has decided not to procreate. She sounds exactly like the type of person who should not be a mother. No one has focused on her most revealing comment, that neither her nor her "partner" wish to see her body torn asunder in childbirth. Wow, if she can't withstand a few stretch marks, I can't imagine she would be willing to make any of the necessary sacrifices required to raise a child in today's society. Please, the more people like this woman who do not have children, the better. P.S. I am six months pregnant with my first child and eagerly awaiting all the good (and not so good) things to come.

  • NO CHRISTMAS PUPPIES, PLEASE

We adopted one of the "Christmas puppies" that a young couple purchased, had for 11 months, never trained it, and then gave it away because it was a monster. She is a badly behaved dog (we have had very little success in correcting her bad habits) but so grateful and loving and happy to be with people who love her and want her around them (she was kept locked in the kitchen by her original owners). I think the main problem is people buying dogs they have no idea how to train. This one is a Weimaraner, which is a high maintenance dog who needs owners who know how to deal with difficult dogs. It is sad so many people purchase dogs they have no business buying (especially as dogs like Weimaraners aren't cheap - although we got her free!) and then end up ruining them. I have hopes for my girl, she is only 2 years old and Weimaraners have a long puppyhood, and she is the sweetest dog around, once you let her sleep in the middle of the bed (under the covers), sit in your chair and eat all your food.
  • Should Conservatives Support Rudeness? Why booing Senator Clinton is beneath us.

Such behavior may not have been nice or classy, but I sure enjoyed it. There is no one, other than Bill himself, who deserved it more. I kept watching it over and over and enjoyed it more and more each time. Her pathetic, monotone voice attempting to be heard over the boohs. Wonderful. It is all we get, after all, she is a Senator, she votes on the laws that govern each one of us and we have to watch her on tv all the time. That is enough of a reason for me.
  • Cops Who Booed Hillary Are Uneducated Who Hate The Smart (My title)

I just checked out the web site Democratic Underground for the first time and what really jumped out at me from all the many ridiculous, repulsive postings on that site was the ever-present emphasis on how smart the Democrats/liberals are and how dumb the Republicans/conservatives are. Is that all they have to cling to? Do the liberals actually believe they have a monopoly on higher education in America? That only those with higher education can understand and appreciate the brilliance and moral superiority of a Hillary Clinton? The liberals at Democratic Underground are the most classist, elitist, snobby group of people I have ever read. Their hate mail bag is designed to ridicule conservative posters as dumb. We ridicule liberals as amoral and wrong in their principles, we don't waste our time evaluating their education level. To disparage firemen and cops because they historically do not have the same education levels as other professions is beyond disgusting. I have an Ivy-League degree, but that doesn't make me any better than anyone else - try telling that to a liberal!
  • Chelsea Talks to Tina: Former First Daughter To Write on Trade Center Attack

What I find offensive about this is why are the thoughts or experiences of Chelsea Clinton in any way noteworthy? Millions of actual New Yorkers (or even people like myself who lived there for a span of time) have stories and thoughts and have lost friends or loved ones, yet they aren't writing 1200 words for Talk. I love how the Clintons get everything their way - no one can criticize Chelsea, or talk about anything to do with her, but when she wants to abuse her quasi-celebrity on her terms, then it is ok. I am really disgusted by this. I want stories from people who ran fifty flights of stairs to get out of the building or people who spoke to their loved ones on the phone seconds before the Towers collapsed, not Chelsea's drivel about how she was going to maybe, had kind of thought about taking a walk or a run near the Towers that day and could maybe possibly have even, oh my! been in danger herself! Why am I continually able to be further disgusted by these people?

The only reason Rosie would say this, if this is true, is because we haven't bombed anyone yet. She is too big to every change her stripes.
