In the early 2000s I was at McCormick convention center in Chicago.
I was buying a cup of coffee at the McDonalds and didnt have cash so used my chase debit card to pay.
There was a creepy guy staring at me and I noticed him and partially blocked him from seeing waht I was typing on the keypad. It was then I realized he passed vwery close in back of me.
I took my coffee and went up the escalator and my phone started getting Chase alerts deposits were being made on my account $2000 at a time for a total of $14000
Panicked, I called Chase. I got ahold of their internal fraud dept and spoke with an actual detective.
She calmed me down and told me every cent would be back in my account within 4 hours.
She also told me she had their licensce plates at multiple grocery stores they made the withdrawl within minutes after scanning my card.
They had teams on standby.
Before the call was finished she told me they apprehended one gang and she was confident shed have them all before end of business day.
Four hours later the money was back in my account.
Chase fraud is no joke.
Im a loyal Chaa se customer 40 years and will never leave them Bank of America and Wells Fargo are absolute crap banks for people who dont understand money. Chase is serious and understands its the customers money. They NEVER tell me No.
