MAYBROOK, N. Y. - The pilot was killed and two passengers injured in the crash of a single-engine plane in the woods near Stewart International Airport early Wednesday, authorities said. The plane lost contact with controllers before 2 a.m. when it was attempting a second landing at the airport following a failed first approach, FAA spokesman Jim Peters said. State Police said one of the passengers called 911 after the crash. Rescuers found the wreckage hours later. Pilot Brian H. Early of Radnor, Pa., was found dead, police said.

We here at the Road Killed Beeber Association have had it come to our attention that we have skeletons in our many varied closets. So it was decided to out our skeletons to air in the daylight and exorcise the zombies hiding behind our collective couches. At least we thought those were zombies but they turned out to be people we don't know watching television.. It has even been rumored that atleast ONE of us is posting 'Dead'! (I swear it isn't me.) Though sometimes I do wake up with the odd irrational fear of holy water and wooden stakes....

April 26, 2004 Howitzer Test Firing We mentioned a while back that General Dynamics has developed a 105mm howitzer prototype for the Stryker vehicle platform. April 05, 2004 Stryker Howitzer Prototype General Dynamics Land Systems has, as a private venture, developed a 105mm self-propelled howitzer for the Stryker vehicle platform. General Dynamics is the current manufacturer of the Stryker vehicles. The company will be test-firing them in Florida this month. See below for photos.

Monte Simard will have to wait a while longer before a Tamaqua justice decides whether the 13-year-old can ride a skateboard in the basement of his Schuylkill Avenue home. Monte, the son of Tamaqua Councilwoman Ann Simard, had his summary hearing on a disorderly conduct charge before District Justice Andrew B. Zelonis continued until Wednesday, Feb. 25, at 4 p.m. Attorneys for the Simards and their next door neighbors, Mary and Noranne Baddick, will prepare briefs on the case prior to the hearing date, at which time testimony will also be heard, said Zelonis.
