Sorry for the vanity. I figure this will get moved to chat, but I had to post this anyways. I just went to the post office, and I noticed a "Kucinich for President" sticker on the car next to me. I snicker, then decide to see if I can figure out which person inside is the idiot.I go inside, and after a quick glance, see exactly who I figured to see. A middle-aged guy with a grey/green cardigan, and the balding frizzy hair. Probably a professor as this office is right near the University. I kind of laughed to myself...

My wife called me and told me I had a nice long letter from my best friend who is with the 101st in Mosul. I havent had a chance to read, so I gave her permission to. She said that he mentioned putting some Saddam dollars in there for me, but they werent in there. Furthermore, the envelope had been opened then taped back shut.Is that pretty standard practice? Why would they care if a soldier was sending stuff like this back to the states?

I flipped over to NBC last night, and caught the tail-end of Nightly News. Brian Williams was doing a story on our man, Greg Packer. I had the volume down, so I couldnt catch everything, but it almost seemed like they were admitting they had been duped by the guy before, and were having a laugh at their own expense.

A friend of mine brought up an interesting point that I thought might bring about a good discussion: With all of the regulations that have been put in place over the last 100 years or so in order to protect us, are people who would have ordinarily died from stupidity, thus strengthening the gene pool, being able to reproduce when maybe they shouldnt? Thus making society even stupider than it was before? I see morons who get their kids tattooed at 6 months, women with multiple kids by multiple dads who will be on the government dole their whole lives,...

Recently I have been pricing Land Rovers (used of course), and I know there are a lot of car experts on here. My question, are they known for going for tons of miles, as long as they are maintained well? I have heard stories about Volvos and other cars going for 200-300 thousand miles, and other brands doing that as well, I just didnt know if Land Rover was the same way.The reason I ask is because I am coming across some in my price range that say "low miles" and they have anywhere between 70,000 and 95,000 miles on...

Senate leader Cal Hobson has checked himself into an alcohol treatment center, he said in a statement Wednesday. "During the course of treatment for my physical ailments, doctors advised me that I should seek help for an alcohol problem, which was working to make the other conditions worse. I was just listening to my local morning radio show, and they reported that Lipton has dropped their sponsorship of the Chicks' tour and would definitely not be airing their commercial. I just can't seem to find the story on the web anywhere. This radio show is affiliated with Fox radio, but I can't find the story there. Has anyone else heard this?

As it piled up record losses and made deep cost cuts, American Airlines created a pension trust that protected some benefits for dozens of top executives in case the carrier went into bankruptcy. The executives' deals, which included huge bonuses for a few, were disclosed in a regulatory filing late Tuesday after the scheduled end of voting on steep concessions by the airline's major unions. Few employees learned of the executive benefits until after they had approved the last of $1.8 billion in annual wage and other concessions, which the world's largest airline said it needed to avoid bankruptcy.

Sen Jim Inhofe was just on my local radio station, and mentioned that Elizabeth Dole is trying to gather support to award the Medal of Honor to Tony Blair. I don't have an official source since, like I said, it is what I heard on the radio, but he did mention that not many people knew about it.If true, what do you think about it?
