You are onto something. My husband told me when he was laid off back in his late 20s someone suggested signing up for unemployment. He found the process so dehumanizing and so time consuming it was easier for him to find another job.
But I do think some people look to game the system, like with anything out there. People trying to cut corners on taxes, or welfare, or whatever.
Abstinence won’t stop the teen pregnancy problem. Ask the church going family down the street from me who are raising a wonderful 3 yr old when their daughter slipped.
Living in Appalachia for so long, I’m beginning to realize abstinence alone won’t solve this problem.
Yes, but I found it pretty simplistic. Sorry, I may be a small-government Goldwater-ite, but I fail on the Rand test - a hack writer who could of done much better if she put effort into it.

The problem in tying Mouch to Jesse Jackson is that no one - not even my liberal neighbors - take Jesse Jackson seriously. He is a characterure, plain and simple.
The other problem is that when you worry too much about government intervention, it will happen. If you keep going out and making new things, you can keep ahead of them. Think google, think facebook, think twitter. Trying to control it? walk away from it and build something else. The problem is the characters in Atlas shrugged gave up. They were the weak ones.
