President Donald Trump began his Monday morning by posting a tweet thanking his favorite TV show, Fox & Friends, for a “great show this morning.” Four minutes later, the president posted another tweet congratulating a lesser-known right-wing news network — One America News Network. “Also, congratulations to @OANN on the great job you are doing and the big ratings jump (“thank you President Trump”)!” he wrote. (It’s unclear what evidence, if any, Trump has that OANN has experienced a “big ratings jump.”) OANN’s platform is nowhere near as large as Fox News — the network is available via DirecTV and...

Seems to me that the bill-boards I see state how many 1,000's of people have died so far on Texan roads. Yet to see a bill-board warning about how many deaths coursed by guns. Bottom line, I am more concerned about the nut behind the wheel of car than I am about a finger on a finger. Truthfully, I know no one who has been shot but plenty who have been either killed or maimed in automobile accidents.

On Tuesday, Glenn Beck implored his listeners to speak up over the case of Justina Pelletier, a 15-year-old who has been at the center of a fierce battle between her parents, the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families (DCF) and Boston Children’s Hospital. Watch's Beck's emotional appeal for people to help save Jessica before she "wastes away and dies"

Perhaps I am out of line here, but I am growing tired hearing the GOP calling Snowden a traitor. Before he leaked that the government is spying on all of the people in just about every way possible. I had no clue. If we, the freeest people since the beginning of time, cannot compose a simple email without it being opened and read by who knows who, then I say, we have lost freedom of the most basic nature and I am, if no one else, is better knowing it because of Snowden than not. Am I off base on...

In a matter of days, North Carolina high school student David “Cole” Withrow’s situation has changed dramatically. For one, Liberty University announced Thursday that it will extend a scholarship to Withrow after he was suspended and arrested for accidentally leaving a shotgun in his pick-up truck parked in the school lot.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., warned Thursday that Obamacare - the health care reform law that he played a key role in shepherding through Congress - risks becoming a "train wreck" because Republicans have resisted adequately funding several key provisions. Reid's comments echoed Sen. Max Baucus, D-Mont., who warned last month during a hearing with Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius that he sees a "huge train wreck coming down" as Congress works to set up the health insurance exchanges, a key pillar of the law's expansion of health care coverage.

“We have abdicated all of the arts to the uber-left and then we just complain that our kids and our families are bombarded with lyrics and imagery and messages that are embarrassing at the worst and corrosive to everything that we stand for,” Beck said on his radio show. “Sneak on the Lot” is currently taught in about 250 schools around the country, but the goal is to make it part of every school or home classroom, Beck said. In showcasing student work on “Liberty Treehouse,” TheBlaze TV audience will receive a behind-the-scenes look at the filmmaking process. “We believe...

Supporters of the controversial firearms bill are struggling to round up the necessary 60 votes to advance the package, underscoring the lingering resistance on the Hill to anything seen to infringe on Second Amendment rights -- despite last week's victory on a procedural vote. The Senate bill advanced last week on a 68-31 vote. But Democratic leaders will likely have to round up a minimum of 60 votes at least once more, and many of the 16 Republicans who joined Democrats last week are backing away. The latest is Sen. Richard Burr, R-N.C., who said Tuesday he opposes a vital...

In a gutsy move, Rand Paul challenged young blacks to give the conservative party, once a civil rights leader, another chance What was Rand Paul, a white Republican senator from Kentucky, doing at Howard University, a mostly black campus in Washington DC? Asking black Americans to give conservatism a second look. Paul acknowledged that some people thought he was crazy to speak to a largely democratic group, who were probably part of the 93% of blacks who re-elected President Barack Obama in 2012. He joked: "My response is that my trip will be a success if the Hilltop [the campus...

A Florida high school student wrestled a loaded gun away from another teen on the bus ride home this week and was slapped with a suspension in return. The 16-year-old Cypress Lake High student in Fort Myers, Fla. told WFTX-TV there was “no doubt” he saved a life after grappling for the loaded .22 caliber revolver being aimed point-blank at another student on Tuesday. “I think he was really going to shoot him right then and there,” said the suspended student, not identified by WFTX because of safety concerns. “Not taking no pity.”

First off, I am not a conspiracist, but after the untold reports of record turn-out, we still fell short of a million or so votes that McCain got. REALLY? I know plenty who sat 2008 out, but not a single soul who sat out this one. Oh, there is a lot here blaming Romney and I will be the first to say that he was about my last choice, but I was more than impressed with the way he handled his campaign. It was clean, truthful and honest. The GPO convention was more than I could have dreamed for. Was...

The out pouring of Love and Support through this forum helped me more with dealing with the passing of my wife Jani, than these few words could ever hope to express. I cannot thank you all in person but through the love of Our Father I am sure you know my THANKS is heart-felt.

By placing the ACA under the umbrella of the tax power, Roberts may have made the ACA easier to overturn by several orders of magnitude. The ordinary process, of course, requires 60 votes to overcome a filibuster in the Senate. But when it concerns budgetary matters, including taxes (like the Bush tax cuts), 51 votes are sufficient to put the law on hold for 10 years. So, theoretically, 51 Republicans will be capable now of overturning the ACA at least for ten years (at which point it could be reviewed again). Fifty-one Republicans could have attempted this in any case,...

Just a few words of thanks to all of you that took time to pray for my wife. The doc said she would not leave ICU. Jani's heart rate was in the low 40's and het blood pressure was 50/20. But Jani began to improve day by day so much that she is out of ICU and will be home by the end of the week. She is amazing and would thank each of you personally if she could. But let me not forget the one who heard our prayers. Our loving Father in Heaven. Thank you God. Thank you.
