    Both diets are simular

Try the mcdougall diet or engine2 diet. You can eat all you want [I know it sounds impossible right] as long as it is the approved foods. We have been on this diet for 3 years. It is a way of life that will change your life for ever. 150 lb weight loss and never be hungry, sign me up. It is a starched based diet with the science to back it up. Basically you avoid anything with a face or a mother, and no added oil. [added oil causes heart problems with no health benefits].

I know several people who got the by bypass, all with questionable results. A friend died years after getting it done with a constriction in his stomach that poisoned him. My uncle lost 70 lbs to be thin enough to do it [I did not quite understand this, if you can lose 70 lbs, why not skip the bypass and keep doing what is working] He had it for 16 months, and then removed it because of problems he was having. He has since gained all his weight. Another friend just kept overeating to the point it had to be removed.

The bypass will make you sick so it will be hard to eat. Why not try a diet that will let you eat all you want and still lose weight? I love to eat and could never make it on a restricted diet. All my health issues are now gone and I am normal weight, yet I eat more than all my family members combined :)

You have to do something different to get a different result. Being on this diet for 3 years we have tried to get others to try it, but people are so resistant to change. I would much rather change my eating than go under the knife.

  • Low "good" cholesterol doesn't cause heart attacks

Have your wife try the diet at
    http://www.heartattackproof.com/
    or http://www.drmcdougall.com/

I removed meat, oil and dairy from my diet and my standing heart rate went from 78 to 44. Much easier for your heart to pump blood when there is not sludge floating in your veins ;)

No meds, no asthma, no heart problems, no obesity, all with simple change in diet. Our bodies heal themselves if given a chance.

4 years now, medicine free and never felt better.

Long time lurker, but I have to post. If this is a Chupacabra, then I have been living with one for 9 years. My goodness, it is a AHT american hairless terrier. Looks just like mine. Someone is going to be mad that they shot their dog

    Re: google checkout on ebay.

It has never been allowed, this is a either a bogus article or someone who is not very well informed.

FYI: Ebay refused google checkout over 3 years ago

I mostly lurk, but the post office burns me up.

The post office fails to realize that their problems began when the made the size limits for priority mail 1cf. All other services have a size limit of 3 cubic feet before oversize charges begin. The post office in their wisdom decided 1cf was big enough.

They tried to force everyone to use parcel post, if you have ever used parcel post you know it is not dependable. When they made the change they almost put our company out of business. We had packages that took 38 days to arrive which is completely unacceptable.

So what did we do? We switched the vast majority of all our shipping to UPS. We ship 300-500 packages a week. That business that used to go to USPS is now going with UPS. Multiply that out by thousands of businesses and you will find the very reason the post office is losing money.

They want to blame in on the economy, however the real reason is mismanagement. They posted a 5.1 billion loss the very next year, and this was before the “worse” economy since the great depression.

I agree. These news articles are so funny. Why isn’t the headline “Fat people loose brain cells” or “Drinking causes brain loss”?

So to avoid B12 Deficiency I should Get Heart Disease and Cancer, no thanks.

If you do some research, it is actually very hard to be b12 deficient even as a vegetarian.

A quick look at cereal in my kitchen shows 1 serving has 45% of our daily needs. B12 is stored in the body for years, so it is very hard to be deficient unless you are eating very very narrow food choices.

I removed meat, oil and dairy from my diet and my standing heart rate went from 78 to 44. Much easier for your heart to pump blood when there is not sludge floating in your veins ;)

More info on b12 is here if interested: http://www.drmcdougall.com/misc/2007nl/nov/b12.htm
