“i too have the same feeling he’s alive. if he had died i believe we would have seen chatter forums go crazy either in celebration or praise or whatever. the spike in volume would have been tremendous. i don’t think they would stay silent with that event.”

There was a funeral a long while ago where lots of AQ were gathered, and the army failed to launch their attack, even though there were all gathered in one place and in the sites of the planes. They stated it was out of respect for the funeral.

Could that have been OBL’s funeral? Also, there has been lots of talk that OBL wants to “Die in the Belly of the Beast”. What if he’s already dead and they either put his body in the vehicle they use for the attack, or his ashes? They he has “died” in the onslauhght in their eyes/

He could be dead or alive, but I really dont think it matters. He’s a great cheerleader for AQ, but isn’t needed for them to continue to do what they do. Dead or alive, they will go on.

And the best way to slow its spread would be to have workers stay at home.

And do I get to use my sick leave or annual leave to cover this when it happens? (sarcasm)

My company has already been sending messages out to employees to prepare and published its plan. They are preparing for most workers to be able to log in from home and sales to be able to use web based meeting placed for demos of products and training. Everything would be remote.

Well, physically, it resides in Europe, but mentally, it lives in the land of Oz. They are neutral and always will be it seems, not to mention all those bank accounts that they specialize in making them untraceable.

That would be the best bet. Iran moving its money to Switzerland because they wont get involved and they can launder their money all they want.

When an airliner loses cabin pressure, the temperature drops rapidly and there is lack of oxygen...called hypoxia. It is possible, from the comment above where the cousin text messaged a relative saying it is very cold and the pilots are unconscious, that it sounds like that is what happened.

    http://www.airsafe.com/stewart.htm

    Payne Stewart Accident Information

Both pilots and all four passengers, including professional golfer and 1999 U.S. Open winner Payne Stewart, were killed in the crash of a Lear 35 jet near Mina, SD on 25 October 1999. The jet, originally on a flight from Orlando to Dallas, strayed off course over northern Florida and continued flying to the northwest until the fuel apparently ran out.

U.S. Air Force pilots reported that the cockpit windows were obscured by frost. The conditions of the windows are consistent with a loss of pressurization and a subsequent rapid drop of temperature. It is likely that the pilots and occupants may have lost consciousness due to hypoxia, or a lack of oxygen. Between the last communication between the aircraft and air traffic control and the aircraft's final descent, the aircraft was reportedly flying as high as 45,000 feet.

Sounds like the airline lost cabin pressure. The same fate the befell Payne Stewart. The windows were frozen over. Hopefully they had all "fallen asleep" prior to the crash and didnt feel any pain or panic.

Is there anything going on with power outages or web outages along the west coast?

I have friends I was talking to online from CA, AZ, WA and NM and all of them went off line all of the sudden at once. Havent seen them since. This was about an hour ago.

Any of you west coasters online or heard of others having power/internet problems?

I think it is because of the recent changes to restricted airspace and alot of pilots are still using "old" airspace maps to plot their trips. The area around the capitol and white house restricted areas are larger now.

Greg, make sure you and your soldiers know that you are never forgotten at any time back here in the US. We are always praying for you and your fellow soldiers.

Do not let the soldiers believe what is in the media for one moment. The American public sees through their vein attempts at fueling the flames. We are not suckers or prey to that and know the good you all are doing for the Afghans and Iraqis. Do not lose your path in what you are doing or lose faith in that it is right to do. We may not hear of all of the good things and that news, such as your email, come in small numbers...so keep us posted, we hold onto that kind of news as much as you hold onto our prayers and thoughts.

God bless and protect you all. May the Lord encamp around each of you with legions of his angels to keep you from evil and harms way at every moment. May He strengthen your faith in Him and bring others who do not believe into the Faith. He does exists and He does love each of you. Press on my friend, you are not forgotten and you are loved..by all of us here at Freepers.

They are loud when it comes to the "discrimination" they get and how they are being singled out for their peaceful religion.

They are loudly outraged when a tabloid magazine prints a bogus story about ripped koran pages.

...but are oddly silent when 300,000 women and children are gunned down in Iraq. They are oddly silent when an entire town is gassed to death. They are oddly silent when 100 thousand or more of their "countrymen" are missing. They are oddly silent when their family members live in poverty, are starving and dieing because of lack of medical care.

    How "odd" indeed.

We should all write nasty-grams to The NY Post. I, for one, will never buy another paper newspaper or magazine from any source anymore. There is no print media news (and most of the TV news orgs) I do not trust with truthful reporting anymore. Its all junk.

The NY Post went from a good paper years ago, to an outright tabloid now. Shame on them. How embarrassing that they arent even embarrased to show how stupid they really are.

The British Tabloid THe Sun are the ones that took and posted the pictures first, and somehow, it is the US that is going to get bombed?

I think that the Pentagon should confiscate everything at the New York times and make a total example out of the publishing editor and the columns author.

Next time someone in the media wants to post a story that is going to end up killing American lives, they will think twice. They should also press charges on any TV station that airs the pics as well.

I am all for freedom of speech, but when their freedom of speech is threatening MY life for something I had no part in, they have then infringed on my right to life.

    ...and it's OUR fault? ROFL!

"Officials in Nizhegorodskaya region, on the Volga river east of Moscow, said water in the lake might have been sucked down into an underground water-course or cave system, but some villagers had more sinister explanations.

"I am thinking, well, America has finally got to us," said one old woman, as she sat on the ground outside her house."

St. Louis-area lake vanishes over days

    By JIM SUHR
    ASSOCIATED PRESS WRITER

WILDWOOD, Mo. -- To folks around Wildwood, it is nothing but freaky: an entire 23-acre lake vanished in a matter of days, as if someone pulled the plug on a bathtub.

Lake Chesterfield went down a sinkhole this week, leaving homeowners in this affluent St. Louis suburb wondering if their property values disappeared along with their lakeside views.

"It's real creepy," said Donna Ripp, who lives near what had been Lake Chesterfield. "That lake was 23 acres - no small lake. And to wake up one morning, drive by and it's gone?"

What once was an oasis for waterfowl and sailboats was nothing but a muddy, crackled pit outlined by rotting fish.

The sight had 74-year-old George English scratching his head.

"It's disheartening, getting out on your deck and seeing this," he said as he stood next to wife, Betty, and the "lakeside" condominium they bought in 1996 for its view. "One day it's a beautiful lake and now, bingo, it's gone."

Some residents said they noticed that the lake, after being swelled by torrential rains weeks earlier, began falling last weekend. The Englishes said they noticed the drop-off Monday.

By Wednesday, the manmade lake - normally seven to 10 feet deep in spots - had been reduced to a mucky, stinky mess.

David Taylor, a geologist who inspected the lakebed Wednesday, told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that the sinkhole was formed when water eroded the limestone deep underground and created pockets in the rock. The sinkhole was "like a ticking time bomb."

The lake and surrounding housing development date to the late 1980s. The development now includes more than 670 condominiums and houses, about one-tenth of them bordering the lake.

Because the lake is private property, the subdivision's residents will have to cover the cost of fixing it, probably through special property assessments. George English expects it to cost $1,000 a household.

It is a price English said he is willing to pay. He just wants the unsightly pit gone, either by refilling it with water or dumping enormous amounts of dirt into it to create green space or usable land.

"I think it'll come back again," he said. "You have to hope they can fix it."

It's a fine mess they've created, and not one that's going to be easily repaired. They've provoked ME relations and human deaths have occurred from the resulting outrage.

Unfortunately most of our "major media" sources have sunk to the point where they are no more reliable or ethical than the National Enquirer, but without the Enquirer's capacity to entertain.

I don't think many people outside this country (and certainly not in the ME, where awareness of other cultures is actively discouraged) are fully aware of the depths to which our media have sunk.

Lately, the National Inquirer is more reliable and truthful. At least who is cheating on who is right.

Its funny how you can rip a page of paper, and set them off, but you can rip apart children and women and have thoushands of lifeless bodies buried in mass graves all over a country, or you can gas an entire town...and that doesn't set them off.

    ...go figure.

As much as I hate the type of blogs mentioned above, according to the US Constitution, anybody is able to make any comment, negative or not, about the government. That is what makes this country free. One day, we will have a president in office which we will not agree with, and we too will have the right to protest, complain, make fun of, and make ill of them.

One day soon, as well, that right will be taken from us, and instead of complaining about a website or web provider, some soldier will just come to collect us and put us to death for saying something negative against the "supreme leader".

Until then, although I dont like what these sites say and I do not agree with them, I at least recognise their rights to create them.
