  • I am through with being civil towards liberals

I've been a part of FreeRepublic for a long time but recently joined a website where both Conservatives and liberals exchange ideas and opinions. When I joined this website, I did so with an open mind and what a freaking mistake that was. First off...there are very few Conservatives and way too many liberals on this website. There is a code of honor when posting on this website and those who break it are punished through temporary suspension to complete banishment from the website. Well, let me tell you that the liberals get away with code of honor violations way...

I'm sorry to post this so late. My father-in-law passed away on August 3, 2005. He had been very sick for the past two months and it was almost a blessing when the end came. He wanted his funeral to be quick and no fan fare what-so-ever....so that's what he got. He was a good man, loved his country, served his country, and a proud Republican as well. Again, thank you everyone. Arpege92 Michelle

My father-in-law is very very sick. He's had two minor heart attacks, he has gall stones, he is diabetic, and the doctors think he has a blood infection....it's not looking good at all. I'm heading down to the hospital with my hubby so please pray real hard for my father-in-law. He's one of the most kind men I have ever known....I'm closer to him than I am to my own parents. Please pray that I stay strong for my hubby who is very close to his father. This hurts so bad. Thank you.

My hubby just called to tell me that a police officer that he know's from another police station was seriously injured today. He was working a side job in construction and was involved in a freak accident. I don't have details about his injuries, but apparently they are going to remove him from life support tonight. My heart aches for his family and the friends he is leaving behind. Please pray for this LEO.

My fellow Americans: As you know, the defeat of the Iraq regime has been completed. Since Congress does not want to spend any more money on this war, our mission in Iraq is now complete. This morning I gave the order for a complete removal of all American forces from Iraq. This action will be complete within 30 days. It is now to begin the reckoning. Before me, I have two lists. One list contains the names of countries which have stood by our side during the Iraq conflict. This list is short. The United Kingdom, Bulgaria, Australia, and Poland...

Love him or hate him, he sure hits the nail on the head with this! To anyone with kids of any age, here's some advice. Bill Gates recently gave a speech at a High School about 11 things they did not and will not learn in school. He talks about how feel-good, politically correct teachings created a generation of kids with no concept of reality and how this concept set them up for failure in the real world. Rule 1: Life is not fair - get used to it! Rule 2: The world won't care about your self-esteem. The world...

So You Think You Know Everything? A dime has 118 ridges around the edge. A cat has 32 muscles in each ear. A crocodile cannot stick out its tongue. A dragonfly has a life span of 24 hours. A goldfish has a memory span of three seconds. A "jiffy" is an actual unit of time for 1/100th of a second. A shark is the only fish that can blink with both eyes. A snail can sleep for three years. (my hubby must be part snail) Al Capone's business card said he was a used furniture dealer. All 50 states are...

A while back, a FReeper had posted a requested prayer alert for a soldier who was wounded in Iraq on July 10, 2004. His name is Andy Houghton and I have been checking in on his progress almost everyday. On Aug. 6, 2004, Andy began having seizures due to a severe hemmorrhage in his brain. They kept Andy on a ventilator until other family members could fly in and see him. They then removed the ventilator believing Andy would not survive....but he has so far. On Aug. 7, 2004, The blood clot Andy suffered has caused extensive brain stem damage...

Since the United States began fighting the real war on terror after 9/11, alot of people from various countries and their government have taken on a strong dis-like for Americans. Lies from the media haven't helped our case much and for a little while now, I have been thinking that maybe the United States is being set up to be attacked by our so called friends. Think about it. Hatred for us is everywhere. Countries such as France have worked hard behind our backs to turn countries and opinions against us. France is looking to create a European Union that...

SINGLE BLACK FEMALE seeks male companionship, ethnicity unimportant. I'm a very good looking girl who LOVES to play. I love long walks in the woods, riding in your pickup truck, hunting, camping and fishing trips, cozy winter nights lying by the fire. Candelight dinners will have me eating out of your hand. Rub me the right way and watch me respond. I'll be at the front door when you get home from work, wearing only what nature game me. Kiss me and I'm yours. Call (404) 875-6420 and ask for Daisy. Over 15,000 men found themselves talking to the Atlanta...

I have a God-Daughter who is six years old. Her mother passed away four years ago, leaving my God-Daughter and her three older brothers in the care of a wonderful man. Just recently, he became engaged to a woman and will be moving from the neighborhood soon. My God-Daughter seems to really like her dad's fiance'and has said so many times. The problem began last Friday. My God-Daughter wants to look like her new mother....my God-Daughter is black and her new mother is white. I was taken back by her statement and I wasn't quite sure what I should have...

NORBERT RILLIEUX (1806-1894) The son of a freed slave, American chemist and inventor Norbert Rillieux revolutionized the sugar industry by inventing a device to remove the water from the juices or sugarcane and sugar beets to produce dry sugar. This invention enabled a purer sugar product, cost less money, and was far less dangerous to workers than previous methods. ELIJAH MCCOY (1844-1929) This American inventor is best known for inventing ingenious devices to lubricate heavy machiner automatically. His devices were so reliable that people often asked if machinery contained "the real McCoy," likely giving rise to this enduring expression. LEWIS...

I can't believe we made it! According to today's regulators and bureaucrats, those of us who were kids in the 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's or even the early 80's, probably shouldn't have survived. Our baby cribs were covered with bright colored lead-based paint. We had no childproof lids or locks on medicine bottles, doors, or cabinets. When we rode our bikes, we had no helmets. Not to mention the risks we took hitchhiking. As children, we would ride in cars with no seat belts or air bags. Riding in the back of a pickup truck on a warm day...

I wanted to extend my sincere gratitude to all those who prayed for my Grandmother over in England who had terminal cancer. My Aunt and Uncle were able to get to England in time to see my Grandmother before she died early this morning. I'm very grateful that my Aunt and Uncle were able to see her....especially my Uncle. He and my Grandmother had never really been that close but I think he is going to be able to accept her death with no regrets. Again, thank you and God bless you all!

My Grandmother who lives in England has cancer and is probably in the last hours of her life as we speak. My Aunt (her daughter) and my Uncle (her son) will be flying out of New York tonight and are not expected to reach England until 11:30 tomorrow morning. They then have a two hour drive from the airport to the hospital and with your prayers, could possibly get there before she dies. I have just spoken to my Aunt and as hard as this is, she is accepting the death, it's just that she wants to get there before...
