You just don't get it - this is the work of al Queida - OBL said "Destroy the Yankees", so they did - I guess something got lost in translation, tho.

    HeHeHe.

I've read the parts of the official report that are on line: http://www.nasa.gov/pdf/65776main_noaa_np_mishap.pdf

In my opinion the contractor needs to pay for all the direct damages plus costs due to any delays, etc. Only then will management be sufficiently motivated to do things right.

Yeah - Jesse ought to go out and start kissing babies like the other politicians. He ought to start with his own baby, you know, the one he got his girlfriend pregnant with while he was counseling former Pres. Clinton because he had had an extra-marital affair - or two - or who knows? We only know about one for sure, Monica Lewinsky because she had DNA evidence on her dress. I guess he just told the rest of them to suck it up like a man.

Yeah, the Reverend Jesse Jackson and Bill Clinton, role models for millions of Kerry followers. Truth is stranger than fiction!

So, if the two Johns don't get flushed, they could have a two-fer one sale: Raise President Franklin Delano Roosevelt from the dead, and then un-cripple him (or is it "de-cripple"). Of course, if Kerry was President, he wouldn't have the decency to step aside and let FDR run the country.

Somehow, this ranks right up there with Hillary channeling Elanor Roosevelt.

Kerry won the debate. He is a better debater. Bush is a better president. If Bush was a better debater, he would have called Kerry's bluffs and exaggerations several times. I hope Bush wins th eelection because Kerry won't be resolute like Bush is and will likely lose the war on terror.

This is a cross-post: It's true - we're now in the post-Clintonian era. The lessons he taught were that you have to win no matter what. He refused to resign, calling the bluff of the nation. Dan Rather is acting the same way - he is calling our bluff. They have no shame - they think that this will all blow over, that most people don't care anyway, and they can still win just by refusing to quit. Oh sure, CBS will take a financial hit for a few quarters, but they'll bounce back. Bill Clinton is their role model and we can expect Dan and his helpers to follow his lead. The rules of the game have changed thanks to our boy President, Bill Clinton. America as you knew it is gone forever.

The morphing took place long ago. Islam has been an instrument of Satan ever since its beginning. Mohammed didn't love his enemies, he slaughtered them. The "unholy" Koran is full of evil commands and sayings that he and his followers used to justify terrible acts. "Convert or die" was the original cry of the Army of Islam as it conquered most of Western Asia as well as the Middle East and parts of Europe and Africa in its first few hundred years. Later, some who were defeated were allowed to live as second-class citizens if they didn't convert, but that was only an expedient. There is over a thousand years of very telling history to back up these claims and these equally evil descendants of the original evildoers who pretend to be a religion weren't able to burn or destroy all of the records attesting to their atrocities.

Our problem is that our resources are limited and our nation is divided in this matter. Similarly, World opinion and resolve is divided, and many nations are indifferent. So, what should be our plan of action? Be specific - e.g., Iran is at the root of much of the support for the terrorists. Do we use very tough diplomacy? Do we start bombing? Should we invade? Defend your specific recommendations.

    2 points:

    1. I pray that he survives this trial and repents. Death comes to all, but only those prepared to meet their Maker will fare well.

    2. The reason he had a heart attack was Hillary was watching the Republican Convention and was also chanting "4 more years!" (This would let her run in 2008 and not have to wait 'til 2012.)

Thanks for the info - I just now found and e-mailed a community leader in the Mississauga, ON area indicating that I will boycott it as long as Ms. Parrish is in power. I don't want to bombard that community leader, so I'm not giving her name and e-mail address here, but it's easy for anyone to to find a similar person or e-mail a retail establishment that will be very disappointed if our dollars don't come to that part of Canada. Just do a smart Google search. Happy hunting and e-mailing some community leader, hotel, etc. in the area that she represents.

From your lips to God's ears. Nevertheless, it likely won't happen, and we can take nothing for granted. Bill Clinton said and did similar things, e.g., draft dodging, protesting the Vietnam War, etc. and was elected twice. It will be necessary to work very hard to defeat Kerry. Focus on that.

  • A Pharmacist's View on Gay Marriage

Your question was: "If one of the problems with gays is promiscuity--as the author says--wouldn't marriage and monomgamy be preferable?"

My answer: No. Don't trample my rose garden just to have a place to breed bed-bugs.

BTW - to all other readers - I'm not being snide - it's a waste of time to try to reason with these people or their syncophants. "Argle Bargle Wastes Time" is more than my screen name; it's a necessary modus operandi for survival of our society when confronted with false sophistry like this. The people arguing the case for "homosexual marriage" are willing to drag everyone else down into the mud so that they can skim on the top of it. They are consumed with self-interest and don't care about the harm they are causing and its inevitable end if we don't stop it - i.e., like spoiled children, they don't care if they cause the destruction of traditional marriage as long as they get what they want. They have resorted to devious slogans such as "How does my [gay or lesbian so-called] marriage affect yours?" to fool and sway the weak-minded and the weak-willed. (The words in [ ] don't appear in the printed slogan, but you get the idea clearly enough when you see them together - often you "get it" even if there is only one of them present.)
My short answer to that slogan is: I don't have enough space in this comment block to inform you of all of the terrible things that legalizing "homosexual marriage" will cause, nor do I care to waste my time and effort on fools and deviants who have a history of reacting to sound arguments like swine react to pearls cast before them. Short, impersonal slogans in response that clearly decry such absurdities and abominations are all that you need to say or write back to them. However, because they are likely impervious to your opinions and will spit your sound reasoning back in your face, the other things we all must do include seeking out and voting for candidates for public office who will not grant them special rights and privileges that the rest of the population does not enjoy. It may also be necessary to impeach judges who make end runs around the law, i.e., those who clearly exceed their authority on this and other subjects by legislating from the bench. There is no basis for "homosexual marriage" in either the common law or statute law. No judge has a right to misinterpret deliberately the many centuries of law and commentary on the subject to in effect alter the law. That is the duty of the legislature. In a few places civil unions have been duly authorized by elected legislatures and either not vetoed by elected governors, or, perhaps their veto was override. No matter - this is how new law must be made, not by judicial fiat - not by one judge usurping the legislatrure, et al. Judicial fiat law leads towards that "slippery slope" lawyers are so fond of warning us about. Homosexuals are nefarious to beg courts to abandon our reliance on a three-part government with its well-thought out checks and balances. Instead, they may lobby for new laws and follow those laws, e.g., form a civil union, or as some have done, they may legally adopt each other. But they may not drag my wife's wedding gown and my tux down into the mud. They would do it if they could, and they would never apologize for doing it or pay the cleaning bill, so they must be stopped by all legal means before they succeed in their nefarious quest.

Regarding the difficulty of firing civil servants, what I hear is that the Administration is planning to replace Federal workers with contractors whereever it can. Apparently, if there is no inherent reason the job must be done by a Federal employee, the Government can do this legally as part of privatization. Could someone please inform us whether this is true, if it has already started, and what, if any, is the backlash against it?

please refer only to actual terrorists as such; the language is under assault, e.g., now it's almost hate-speak to insist on saying "homosexual" instead of "gay." Call them "rogue jurists" or some other name in the bounds of the language; don't give the other side ammunition that we are distorting the facts by calling activist judges terrorists.

The article says "Most of the people apprehended have been Mexican Nationals looking for work, but in 2002, about 8,000 of the illegals arrested were “special interest aliens.” (so, maybe terrorists.) The article implies we have nothing to fear from these Mexicans, but I worry about this possibility: suppose you're a Mexican in this country illegally, and a terrorist makes you an offer you can't refuse - do what I say or I'll turn you in to the INS. The potential for that type of problem gets worse if the government cracks down on all illegals, but I'm not against cracking down on them, just get prepared for the side effects. The harsher the crackdown, the greater fear the other illegals have of being caught and the more they feel that they need money to buy really good forged documents and to otherwise cover their own tracks. The terrorists have lots of money to spread around, and they realy don't want to be caught - so I think that they'll pay other illegals that we usually ignore to do their dirty work. I heard that one trick that the Italian Mafia used to rise to power without being caught much was because there were so many Italian and Sicilian illegals that they could use as cats paws. Is that true? Is history repeating itself again with a-bombs instead of machine guns? Yes, I agree that our borders aren't safe, but there may be a lot of wrinkles on this prune we haven't thought much about yet. I hope that some Federal Agency is on top of this potential problem, and also I hope we have enough sense to demand that all illegals be deported before they can be coerced into killing us - by the millions.
