When I had a kidney stone I went to the small town hospital where I was spending the weekend and was immediately admitted. All I knew is I was in extreme pain and had nausea. I had never been to an ER before, so going to a hospital was a new experience for me. I don’t recall giving a UA sample, although I may well have. I did get a cat scan, which revealed the kidney stone. Since I was six hours from home they gave me some pain meds and sent me on my way. This was on a Friday. On Monday morning I went to my doctor. He set me up with a specialist on Tuesday and on Wednesday the stone was laser blasted. Everything was fast and efficient and insurance covered it all so I had no out of pocket costs for anything.
The feds never should have changed the name from Mount McKinley.
Longtime Alaskans would disagree with you. It should never have been named after some dead white guy to begin with. While I disagree with how Obama restored it to its rightful name I'm glad the name we always used was finally acknowledged. Before the change only outsiders and short timers referred to it as McKinley.
I get a really thin phone book that’s pretty much worthless once or twice a year. I tried to opt out of getting them but the company wanted so much personal information that I halted that process. So they continue to go straight into the trash can as soon as they arrive.
The one on the far right looks like she just got done fisting someone. BTW, every time I see a nun in the movies they’re wearing some kind of black and white uniform. Is that a thing of the past?
It seems like every day I see more reasons why my decision to not take the needle was the correct one. I had covid once. It was like a very mild cold. Even after my wife got covid twice after taking the needle three times I didn’t get it again. Now she’s sorry she ever got the shots. I’ve heard that lament many times from other people who are sorry they got the shots.
You knew it was Oakland when you parked it there. Did you really think it was safe just because it was in your garage? I wonder what party he voted for at election time.
I'm not preparing for the average shootout, I'm preparing for almost any eventuality. I'd rather have too many rounds and not need them than have too few rounds and need more. Nothing Rambo about that.
You obviously don’t know how a revolver is more reliable than Semiautomatics.
I've never had my Glock fail. I do have a revolver that has failed. That aside, any revolver above a .22 gives you five or six rounds to neutralize any threats. After that, you're out of the fight and you'll never reload before the fight is over. With my Glock 23 I have 14 opportunities to neutralize any threats. And I can swap out magazines in a second or two and remain in the fight. There's a reason why no law enforcement agency nor the military issues a revolver. They are completely inadequate in today's dangerous environment.
