Hungarian diplomat Csaba Kőrösi was sworn in as the new President of the United Nations General Assembly in New York on Monday. Kőrösi took his oath of office on the Charter of the United Nations in the presence of UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and the former UN General Assembly president, Abdulla Shahid. In his speech following his inauguration, Kőrösi said the war in Ukraine must end as soon as possible and a ceasefire must be achieved.
