"Why I hate cops- they roll heavier than we did outside the wire downrange, they use helicopters and machine guns and militarized stuff and drive tanks into crowds..."

Uh oh. Now you’ve done it. A newbie like yourself responding to Laz?
Now you must marry him. And have his children. Which he will eat.
You’re doomed. Doomed as doomed can be.
Forget it. He’s rolling...
I think I’ve been lurking at least as long as Laz has been around; and I’ve chuckled at his antics for years.
What I can’t figure out is why someone so avidly interested in marriage, isn’t married YET!
Is it a case of “noise and fury signifying nothing”?
(but, yeah, I guess you’re right. I’m doomed...)

There is no situation that will not be made worse by the presence of a cop.
As harsh as those words are, it's true that even my conservative, totally traditional, "law and order", "by the book" DAD has come to harbor great hostility against the police.
My dad is literally the last person in the world who would possess "revolutionary" or "anti-establishment" impulses, but even he has seen the light with respect to police: militarization, federalization, arrogance, corruption, perjury, excessive force, SWAT abuse, no-knock warrants, shooting dogs, etc., etc.
When the police lose the respect and goodwill of somebody like my dad, there can be no doubt that they have become the epitome of Tyranny in modern America.
It can't be over-emphasized that the police losing the esteem of people like my dad, not to mention the typical Patriot malcontents such as our ilk, is an unmistakable sign that a critical juncture of American history and Liberty has been reached.
exactly
.
Not good omes
Avoiding dealing with cops is absolutely the best policy.
I just hate myself... and Barry Soetero of course.
I hate to say it, but that day really changed my image of police officers. Perhaps that’s not fair, but it is what it is.
It seems ever since then, the highest concern for police is that “All the cops make it home to their families.”
That is a vast change in attitude from “To Protect and Serve.”
I thought that was very classy. Score 1 for Frisco, TX.
I got pulled over for speeding in Mesquite, TX. As per my safety training I pulled off to the shoulder rather than the center lane, and the cop said "That is a good way to get yourself shot". I had my toddler in the car at the time.
I think that officer should be fired and charged with making Felony Terroristic Threats and put in prison for the max, which is 5 years.
Minus 1 point for Mesquite, TX.
Neither do cops generally speaking. I have never been shot by a police officer. I have never had my dog shot by a police officer either. It does happen and those cops should be prosecuted. There is a certain percentage of the population that will be bad apples and assholes. That’s life. Apparently you are still alive. Did a police officer shoot you as you reached for your ID? Just curious.
And some hippies WILL shoot you if you get near their dope. :-)
So my being alive means that car accidents don’t exist?
All those things I mentioned are verifiable facts, brought to you by the police state you bought with your tax dollars.
The problem is that they show no slight interest in removing the bad apples. The problem is that people support the police in whatever they do and pay no attention. The people who threw the flash bang in the babies crib were exonerated by a jury of THEIR peers. the thin blue line stepped up and told us all to sit down and shut up or else. The guy who falsified documents to sent an innocent man to jail and cost MY COMMUNITY millions of dollars in restitution recently retired with a full pension.
I didn’t say bad things don’t happen. Reread my post. Good grief. Get a grip man.
Really?
You realize that is the attorney general of the United States right? You realize that this reinforces my position that the police state is my problem, right?
“Cops are the most vile form of life on the planet. Oftentimes, swarms of cops will gang up on small children and within minutes, drain their blood. Cops can often be found in cow flops, breeding new cops, which hatch from the maggot stage to the winged variety. Many cops are biting cops that transmit various diseases, including ebola.”
That sounds pretty bad. Hopefully there are no hippy cops; we would truly have the worst of both worlds.
Of course we do have Joe Biden; I wonder if he would qualify as a hippy cop?
Bad news.
These people are in for a really rude awakening.
They have yet to see dissension as wide spread distrust of controlling government at all levels continues to escalate.
That's probably one of the few you can ever trust in this life. No joke.
Those I least trust are those affiliated with any level of government, from their hired guns to the clerks and their cash registers at the DMV.
I'm reminded of this every time I am forced to pay and re-register the same GD vehicle over and over and over.
