Liberal republicans are unelectable for president. The base will not vote for them.

Grover Norquist is a Trojan Horse and an enemy combatant.

This article is obviously part of the gOpE's war on the Tea Party and the guy they fear the most ... Ted Cruz.

Telling that Grover includes Rand Paul. He clearly doesn't fear his candidacy.

former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush...

Norquist can't be that stupid. Sure, Jeb has name recognition, so he could raise money. But who would actually vote for him?

Democrats? No. Independents? No. Republicans? The GOPe would vote for him, but he'd get no conservative support.

Jeb would lose in a landslide even to Biden.

Jeb Bush??? Norquist has absolutely NO credibility with a list including anyone with the Bush surname.

The mating call of the Big Government, squishy, establishment Republican:

"Vote for the most conservative candidate...WHO CAN WIN"

(will then proceed to tell you which flaccid, ho-hum, guaranteed loser candidate can win)

Before Perry can have a chance he’s gonna have to learn how to speak on television and be quicker on his feet. It tend to like the guy, but his debate performances in the Primary race were an embarrassment. If he’s planing on running, hopefully he’s been working on it. Jindal could have the same type of problems, given that God-awful Republican response to the State of The Union address a few years ago.

I would be more than happy to see Walker at the top of the ticket. Jindal and Perry would be OK. Christie would be a disaster so he’s probably the one who will get the nomination. Rand Paul is the best if the group though.

I wanted to support Jindal when I first heard of him, but there has been no Crack The Whip kind of moment to convince me he had the aggression to be paid attention to, let alone win.

I agree with you. From my learning Norquist is a shill for democrats. It bothers me to hear this guy acting like the GOP blessing person. I tend to believe there will be some excellent and true conservatives coming out of the backwoods of politics free of people such as Norquist. I also believe there is and will be the cloud of eligibility hanging over Cruz much like that over Obama.

I know many here dislike Norquist, but he is probably fifty percent right on this one.
I think there are three wings of the Republican party; Conservative,Libertarian and GOPe. that means there are only three on his list that all three wings will vote for. Only three that have not be demonized by one or two of these wings. Gov. Scott Walker, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal and Texas Gov. Rick Perry. None of whom is my favorite, but each of whom I could vote for.

Are these guys having meetings where they discuss get-rid-of-Cruz strategy? With pep talks and battle plans?

Cruz is the only one who is presidential. Rand Paul possibly so, but only if all the voters are under thirty.

Jeb has possibly been chosen by the New World Order people as our next president. Maybe he could drop the amnesty poison and change his name.

Maybe I’m inviting flames or I’m a bit uninformed, but I sure like Scott Walker. He’s got guts and gets the job done. Although I would stay home if Christie gets the nomination, I would work for Walker.
