thanks for that info. We held a rally here in Vegas that was awsome, probably around 200 people, some dressed in colonial gear with a drummer, marched down to the IRS building where we heard a great speech from a lawyer who defended a group charged with 161 counts of fraud by the IRS. Here are some pics, it was a great day!

There’s plenty of oil here in the US, or Brazil, or other friendly places. Oh, but the envirowackos won’t let us.

We can go nuclear power, liquify/gasify coal, etc. Oh, but the envirowackos won’t let us.

But you environmentalists think the only way to have energy is to continue sending money to Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and other places in exchange for oil.

Riiiiight.

That’s not how world oil and energy works — Idiots Actually you disgust me

How interesting, the war was for oil? I thought this was the position of the far left. Rumsfeld would disagree:

Rumsfeld: There is no master plan. We don't run around the world trying to figure out how other people ought to live. What we want is a peaceful region.

You used the word black gold. I've seen the same kinds of articles and suggestions that that's the case.

You know, I've been around economics long enough to know that if somebody owns oil they're going to want to sell it. If they want to sell it, it's going to end up in the market. And it doesn't matter if they sell it to Country A or Country B. If they sell it, it's going to be in the market and that's going to affect the world price. Money is fungible and oil is fungible. This is not about oil, and anyone who thinks it is, is badly misunderstanding the situation.

Al Jazeera: But it depends on who controls the oil.

Rumsfeld: Anyone who controls it wants to sell it. It doesn't matter. That is not a problem. If you own -- If a bad person owns the oil and a good person owns the oil -- different oil -- and the bad person doesn't want to sell it to you but the good person is willing to, it doesn't matter because then the good person sells it to you. You're not going to be buying this person's oil but this person's going to be selling it to somebody else. And the world price will be the same. Everyone will have the oil they need. They aren't going to horde it, they're not going to keep it in the ground. They need the money from the oil. So it's not a problem.

Pauls support is minimal in every poll ever published

Uh, that's because the polls exclude his name and they poll the same registered Republicans who voted in 2004.

and the high results in web polls are due to PRs poll-bots.

A live person still has to use the mouse to click on the radio button there skippy.

Really makes me wonder where all the money coming in through the “web donations” is coming from.

They're coming from ordinary people, fed up with the status-quo and the two-party duopoly.

Might be interesting if the originating source for the funding was made public.

If you'd take the liberty to look on his website instead of repeating rehashed propaganda that'll make DU blush, you'd discover that all the names are listed in real-time. In fact, Paul's campaign is the first campaign to list all the names of the people who donated to him.

90% Good enough 10% POISON.

This is the reason why y’all are gonna lose. Cause you aint got the brains enough to figure it out. There’s already been at least one post on this...

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-rlc/1940523/posts?page=20#20

Here’s the Poison...
“...I have a funny feeling I know where these money bombs are coming from. Hint: What segment of our population DESPERATELY wants the patriot act repealed, a withdrawal from Iraq, and all aid to Israel cut off?”

And y’all barkin up the wrong tree if you think i’m going to swallow the poison because you koolaid drinkin ron paul advocates come in with your messianistic hyperbole.

Ron Paul is the Ross Perot of the 2008 Election. And if y’all gonna fall for that again then you deserve the democrat that you get...

If Paul were to get the nomination, the Democrat would win in a walk.

Really. Because we all know limited gov't and social conservatives would vote for Hillary, right?

A new generation of Constitutionalists is being born this election season.

According to myopic FReepers living in denial, these new and young voters are all members of Code Pink and white supremacist groups.

Hmm. I’m for FRed, but sooner or later someone is going to have to do something other than wave off the Paulbearers.

That sort of eagerness to organize and contribute makes them a Voting Block. Paul won’t win (and from what I read, won’t go 3rd party, so we needn’t worry about a Perot situation), but someone is going to get those votes in November.

Gotta give the man props for having diehard supporters. Any politician would kill for this kind of support.

Ain't it the truth! Those kids just won't stop. They're dragging all us older types along in their sonic wake.

I think RP could take a month off and the grassroots would just keep plowing ahead. It is an amazing bunch.

If we aren’t in the Middle East Russia and China will take it over along with Iran. Nature abhors a power vacuum. Russia doesn’t give a shit about libertarian crybabies like the Ron Paul crowd. Russia and China play hard ball.

So Ron Paul supporters-—get out your bicycles and fire up your wind power generators.

"Seriously, you know that Paul has a ceiling in the GOP and in America don’t you?"

That statement probably has great merit. There is most likely a limitation to what Paul could hope to accomplish in the GOP. There is likewise a limitation to what he could accomplish with the whole of America, and that limitation has been growing significantly.

A September, 2007 Gallup poll found 39% of Americans expressing favor for the Democratic AND Republican parties. A clear majority of 57% were unfavorable of the two parties.

Maybe the two parties had better brace themselves. The American people might be ready to toss both. If that day is approaching, Democrats and Republicans will have to forge an unholy alliance in an attempt to thwart the will of the American people.

The very fact that a die-hard pro-life strict constitutionalist can gain so much support in this country gives me great faith in the American people. If Ron Paul by some miracle got the nomination, I would enthusiastically support him, despite my disagreement with him on foreign policy.

I give him all the credit in the world.

Kinda makes you wonder how on earth the Swiss are able to buy oil without being "in" the Middle East.

We are not Switzerland. Matter of fact our Mid East presence guarantees the free flow of oil at market prices to Europe and Switzerland

It doesn't matter who owns the Middle East. They have to sell the oil for it to do them any good. If they don't sell it to us who is going to take up the slack? China? Russia? I doubt it.

I've heard that libertarian garbage a million times
They'll sell us oil alright. But each barrel will have a 30$ surcharge. They will use computerized GPS systems to track each tanker that comes here. Those who buck this system will get no oil. When Russia Iran China take over Mid East oil they will also levy a surcharge on Europe and Japan. Poor nations will get a small discount to provide cover

FYI--Lots of the Ron Paul crowd are Islamic ass kissers same as the Europeans. Muslims are overjoyed with Ron Paul's platform and talking points

We are not Switzerland.

You're right, but there's no reason we couldn't be.

Matter of fact our Mid East presence guarantees the free flow of oil at market prices to Europe and Switzerland.

No it doesn't. Since we started with our current version of a presence in the Middle Ease market prices have skyrocketed and show no signs of coming down anytime soon.

Casinos on the French Riviera do better at ensuring middle eastern oil flows freely because the sheiks like having money to spend on the gambling, liquor, and women that are provided to them.

No free flow of oil = no more gambling, no more boozing, and no more fornicatin'. That'd just be unacceptable.

They'll sell us oil alright. But each barrel will have a 30$ surcharge. They will use computerized GPS systems to track each tanker that comes here. Those who buck this system will get no oil. When Russia Iran China take over Mid East oil they will also levy a surcharge on Europe and Japan. Poor nations will get a small discount to provide cover.

You should visit the threads where the oil markets are discussed. You might learn something.

Oops, After watching Ed Griffin’s speech on YT (Ron Paul Rally Santa Monica Pier Dec 16), I stand corrected. Ed’s eleven words were, “Ron Paul is the only candidate who can win for America!”

My apologies to Ed Griffin, and everyone else, for my honest misinterpretation of his last three words.

What about the 200-year oil reservoir on Gull Island in Alaska? Lindsey Williams has written about this oil (discovered by ARCO, now owned by BP). If we have this much oil, why do we have to deal with the middle easterners? The real question is, why have Americans been kept in the dark about this discovery? Inquiring minds want to know!
