dear brethren and sisters, I draw your your attention to something very Important. We are living at the end of times. we are already experiencing the minor signs of judgement day that preceed the appearance of the Major signs. Once these minor signs finish--know that 95% of these signs have already come to pass-- we will be encountering the Major signs immediately. One of these first signs amongst the Major ones is appearance of the Jewish Anti Christ or the Masih ad-Dajjal. The affliction of this Jewish Messiah is so great that none from the times of Prophet Adam till the day of resurrection have or will create and spread that much affliction. His affliction will be so dangerous and so harmful that there is no Prophet of God who did not warn his ummah about the coming of this person. the Dajjal will be able to deceive the very elect, the very pious, the one who thinks he has faith in his/her heart. this generation is very very close to meet the Dajjal. Why? Because there are two specific signs that will appear in Madina as reported by the Prophet Muhammad, which will mark that the time for the appearance of Dajjal is nigh. And these two Signs have already appeared!!!!!! Here we provide to you the two specific traditions: Narrated Abdullah ibn Shafeeq who reported from Muhjin ibn Adraa who reported that the Prophet(saw) said, "The End/finish/khalaas day, and What do you know what the khalaas days is--the prophet repeats the same statement 3 times.Some one asked him, "what is the day of Khalaas?". The Prophet then answered, "The Dajjal will come and will climb and will see Madina and then he will say to his companions, "Do you see that White Palace?That is the Mosque of Ahmad--another name of Prophet Muhammad--", Afterwards the Dajjal will come to Madina but will find that by its each entrance there is an armed angel ( who would not allow him entry)......afterwards Madina will shake 3 times and there will not remain a hypocrite male or female nor will there remain a fasiq male or female who would not go out to the Dajjal (to join him), and that is the day of khalaas.(An authentic tradition reported with a sahih isnad reported by Sheikh Mustafa Adwi in his work Al-Fitan wal Malaahim wa Asraatus S'aa) source: http://www.raddadi.com/madinah/madinah.htm During the time of the prophet the Masjidun Nabawi or the Mosque of Ahmad was very simple as it was built of mud bricks and had date leaves as its covering for the roof. Anyone who has travelled to Madina in recent times will confirm that upon reaching the vacinities of this holy city, the Mosque of the Prophet appears as a pearl or as a palace amongst other building from a far. Muslims take this as an awakening token, Wake and think seriously, the other sign the prophet fortold regarding the closeness of Dajjal's appearance is that Madina at that time--at the time of Dajjal's appearance --will have 7 main entrances:

The Prophet said, "The terror caused by Al-Masih Ad-Dajjal will not enter Medina and at that time Medina will have seven gates and there will be two angels at each gate (guarding them).(Sahih Bukhari: Book of afflictions, Volume 9, Book 88, Number 240) Just look at the recent Map of Madinah city, if you find one, and you will see that there are 7 main entrances today leading to the city. One road coming from Jeddah, the other coming from Makkah, another coming from Rabigh, one from the airport, another from Tabouk, and two from surrounding areas. Muslims get up, Know the Jews better, Avoid them, Be prepared to face them intellectually, politically,economically and military wise. Please memorize the 10 first verse of surah kahf as well as the last 10 verse. Doing such protects you from the affliction of Dajjal as the Prophet said. Always recite this Du'a or supplication in prayer when your are finishing after saying tashahud:

Allahuma inni Aoudu Bikka Min Adabil Qabr, Wa Min Azabi Jahanum, Wa Min Fitnatil Mahyaie wal Mamat wa mein fitnatil Masih ad Dajjal According to the saying of the Prophet reciting this in prayer will protect one from the affliction of Dajjal.

"Hadhrat Abu Saeed Khudri (R.A.) compares that Rasulullah (S.A.W) said, 'Al Mahdi will be from my progeny. His forehead will be broad and his nose will be high. He will fill the world with justice and fairness at a time when the world will be filled with oppression. He will rule for seven years.'"

1. People will neglect their prayers.
2. People will follow their own views.
3. Their desires will supercede the commands of Allah
4. They will sell the religion for worldly benefits.
5. The rulers will be tyrants, ministers will be transgressors and trustees will be embezzlers.
6. Evil will become virtue and Virtue will become evil in the eyes of people.
7. embezzlers will be trusted, and the trustworthy will be thought untrustworthy; and liars will be vouchsafed, and the truthful ones vill be considered liars.
8. Women will be rulers and concubines will be consulted; (this ma mean the government of women or domination of women over their husband - so much so that the husbands will not, or can not, ask them to remain within the limits of sheriah, leaving them to go where ever the want in whatever cloths they like.
9. Children will sit on the mimber. (this may mean unworthy people will take to mimber.)
10. Lying will be considered clever; Zakaat will be (disliked) as fines.
11. Man will be tyrant to parents and generous to friends; and at that time comets will appear.
12. women will become partners in her husbands trade.
13. Rain will be very Hot.
14. Virtuous people will remain sorrowful. Poor will be dishonoured.
15. Rulers will be harsh tyrants.
16. Ummah will be dyed the the goods of east and west.
17. Males will satisfy their lust with males and females will satisfy their lust with females.
18. Minor boys will be mounted upon as women.
19. Males will liken them selves to women and females will look like males.
20. Females will ride saddles (vehicles) There will be the curse of Allah upon the Women of the Ummah.
21. Mosques will be decorated as synagogues and cathedrals; Quran will be beautified, and minarets will be high.
22. The lines of people standing in prayers will increase but their heart will hate each other and their talks will differ from each other.
23. Men will use golden ornaments, and wear silk, and will use cheetah's skin.
24. dealing in interest will appear every where, people will deal with backbiting and bribe.
25. religion will be suppressed and world (worldly affair) raised.
26. Divorce will be on the increase, and hudud (Islamic punishment) will not be administered.
27. At that time the musical instruments and women singers will appear (practiced openly).
28. At that time the rulers will be the worst of the Ummah.
29. Rich of the Ummah will go to hajj (pilgrimage) for recreation, middle class will go for trade and the poor will go to show off.
30. People will learn Quran for reasons other than Allah.
31. Religion will be studied for reasons other than Allah.
32. Honours will be defiled, sins will be openly comited, Evil people will have authority upon the good people.
33. Lies will be prevelent, and disputes will appear.
34. Poverty will be widespread and people will be proud of their cloths.
35. There will be rains at the wrong times.
36. People will kine chess, gambling apparatus, musical instruments; and will dislike enjoining good and forbidding evil so much that the true believer will be respected less then the slave girl.
37. Reciters (of quran) and worshipers will blame each other. Those will be the people who will be called unclean and filthy in the kingdom of heaven.
38. Rich will not be afraid (of any thing) except the poor so much that the poor will go continue begging for two fridays without recieving anything.
39. At that time will talk 'Ruwaibidhah' (Such people will talk about public affairs, who had not talked about such matters before. Than in a short time chaos will appear upon the earth and every nation will think that chaos was only in their land. (but it will cover the whole world.)
40. People will remain in this condition for as long as Allah wishes. Earth will throw out pieces of its heart - gold, silver and other minerals the size of pillars, but neither gold nor silver will be of any benefit to anyone.
41. Kufr (disbelievers) and Munafikat (hypocrites) will be prevelent before the coming of the day of judgement.
42. People will become Kafir (dis-believers) because of poverty and need.

The Hadith also go on in detail about natural disasters Mohammed predicted, as well as various battles.

I forgot to mention in that "Mahdi" post that the Sunnis, Shi'ites, Sufis, and Ba'hai all have different interpretations of what type of person the Mahdi will be. The Sunnis believe he will re-establish the Caliphate, perhaps being the reincarnation of the Fourth Caliph. The Shi'ites believe that the Mahdi will be the Twelfth Great Imam, who vanished as a child (amongst political strife) because Allah has been hiding him from human view SINCE THE NINTH CENTURY A.D. (I kid you not). When the time is right, the Twelfth Imam will return to men's eyes, still appearing youthful, to lead the war against the Dajjal.

For the Sufis and Ba'hai, the Mahdi will not kill his opponents, but through peaceful yet powerful preaching will "kill" the deceitfulness and infidelism in the Dajjal and his followers, convincing them to accept Islamic shar'ia.

Frankly, I'm growin' kinda fond of the Sufis and Ba'hai.

Very unfortunately, so little is available in English about Wahabi theology, that I cannot say for certain how the Wahabis picture the Mahdi; though I am willing to make some wild guesses.

Some imams interpret that as meaning that the "sun" of Islam will "rise" in the West.

Can you guys believe that here it is well over a year since 9/11 -- and the words Dajjal, Mahdi and Qiyamah are not common knowledge on the lips of every American!!!!!!!

Think about how many people have to know about this -- government officals, military officials, military personnel stationed in the Mideast, reporters stationed in the Mideast, imams in mosques here in the US, muslims here in the US, followers of Farrakhan -- but are not telling the American public that there is an apocalyptic fever behind the terrorism, because many imams have been preaching far and wide that the United States and Western Culture are "the Dajjalic System" predicted in the Hadith.

I also believe that as our government hands out Foreign Aid money to these people, we should ask each one of them: "Do you now, or have you ever believed, that the United States is the Dajjal?"
