Of course not, Jesus is the complete Word, whereas the Torah and the Writings and the NT are the Word recorded for revelation. Jesus is the complete revelation of the Word, so He is the Book, the complete Bppk of the Word of the Lord. I see in another answer that you believe Protestants "worship" the bible. We worship the Father and the Son, who is the Word of God. We have respect for the Word of God in the written Word. You might or might not know, that the Jews have so much respect that they will bury a Torah scroll that has been damaged, but they certainly do not "worship" it, nor do we.

It's my fault I didn't give you a heads up the "all or nothing" guy in this instance was one of 'you guys.' If you'll look back, you'll see I was resonding to specific scriptures offered by Quester. The qoute from one of 'you guys' which started the conversation occurred several posts earlier. Is it your contention we Catholics are required to inform 'you guys' of everything that's been said in the conversation up to the point upon which we are posting so that another one of 'you guys' doesn't rush in a make a false accusation?

As he says, this is only one Book. The Gospel of John is supposed to be an eye-witness account, but the author does not say that Jesus commanded him to write it.

But this is what seperates us. I believe you when you say you don't worship the Bible. I believe the Jews don't worship the Bible. But when we Catholics say we don't worship Mary, you call us liars. If we revered Mary so much that we accorded statues of her the same honor Jews accord the Torah -i.e. burying them when they are damaged- you can bet Protestants would show this prove we worshipped Mary.
