Of course not, Jesus is the complete Word, whereas the Torah and the Writings and the NT are the Word recorded for revelation. Jesus is the complete revelation of the Word, so He is the Book, the complete Bppk of the Word of the Lord. I see in another answer that you believe Protestants "worship" the bible. We worship the Father and the Son, who is the Word of God. We have respect for the Word of God in the written Word. You might or might not know, that the Jews have so much respect that they will bury a Torah scroll that has been damaged, but they certainly do not "worship" it, nor do we.

Yes, I do know this. But this is what seperates us. I believe you when you say you don't worship the Bible. I believe the Jews don't worship the Bible. But when we Catholics say we don't worship Mary, you call us liars. If we revered Mary so much that we accorded statues of her the same honor Jews accord the Torah -i.e. burying them when they are damaged- you can bet Protestants would show this prove we worshipped Mary.

As to the rest of your post, I concur and it is very well stated. Thanks.

but they certainly do not "worship" itYou mean that they don't adore it. Now you know how we feel when others claims that we "worship" the Virgin Mary. We worship Mary in the primary sense, of giving homage to a person of high rank. We adore Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.
