Queen James Talarico's Heretical "Inclusive Bible"
The Inclusive Bible - By Priests for Equality ^ | May 29, 2026 | The

I recently heard from a friend that Talarico's leftist church - the St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Austin, Texas -- told its parishners to throw away their Bibles and purchase the "Inclusive Bible" by the Priests for Equality, which was quite an odd translation of the Bible.

I first confirmed Talarico preached there:

https://pres-outlook.org/2026/03/austin-seminary-student-james-talarico-wins-democratic-u-s-senate-primary/

I then confirmed it uses the Inclusive Bible:

https://myemail.constantcontact.com/St--Andrew-s-News-for-July-26-to-August-1--2024.html?soid=1112060411088&aid=MNn8GrAF534

I then looked up that "bible" and whoa, is it weird:

I flipped through it just briefly:

Adam is an "it" the "first creature" until Eve is created, the first human.

Marriage is not between a "man and woman" but between "two persons".

God is seldom "the Father" but "your Parent".

Well, except for garbage like this:

"It is God the only Child, who is close to the bosom of the Father-Mother..." ("~John" 1:18) (or in the later version "bosom of Abba") "Abba" literally means "daddy" in Aramaic/Hebrew, but I guess it's OK to use non-English words to hide that. They probably think it's kinky.

Proverbs, which is largely about young men's proper behavior, is so gutted and weakened I can't make heads or tales of it.

The Holy Spirit (which is technically an "it" in the Greek, so any gendered English translation has issues) is a "she" throughout the Gospel of John. I guess that's no less accurate than "he", but that's the female gender bias throughout.

And this female-centric bend continues throughout. Women are generally listed before men in genealogies, for example.

Or like this in "~Genesis 1:27" the phrase "male and female" becomes "female and male". It doesn't matter, I suppose. But why the change from the original Hebrew? Equality? Or because women are better?

In fact, women are generally elevated over men throughout the translation. It's not "inclusive". It's misandrist. For example, Paul address in letters is changed to "sisters and brothers".

And men are generally erased:

"Son of Man" becomes "the Human One".

"Son of God" becomes "the Chosen One".

“Don’t call anyone on earth your ‘Mother’ or ‘Father.’ You have only one Parent—our loving God in heaven. (The original text says "Father".)

Ephesians had this gem "to those of you in a committed relationship" and erases both male and female. (It's supposed to be about marriage. My only surprise is it didn't say "top" and "bottom".)

I can't even figure out what 1 Peter instructions for a household says. I think it says "the woman is the boss".

The "Whore of Babylon" is, well, go read it (or not) yourself.

TLDR: Talrico's preferred Bible does its best to erase men or sex. Promotes women over men. And is super gay and weird. It's like if Disney under Kathleen Kennedy wrote the Bible: "put a chick in it and make it gay and lame."

I seem to recall something about “do not add or take away a single word...”

Interesting race brewing:

The sinner versus the heretic.

(I’ll vote for the sinner)

(or in the later version "bosom of Abba")

I used to watch Abba in their time of stardom; I never really noticed any of the bosoms.

Yep, last line, in fact.

I just flipped through this at Barnes & Nobles for about 45 minutes.

It’s a classic case of trying to rewrite God in our desired image.

I’m sure there is a more scholarly look at the heresies in this garbage, but if a (inactive) cowboy Catholic deacon like me can spot the patent errors with a flip through, it’s garbage.

Talrico is trying to cast it as “top” vs “bottom”, with Talarico claiming to represent the bottom.

I don’t think his campaign thought that through very well.

I think this is going to be one sweet slugfest. I don’t get to vote in this one, but I am looking forward to seeing Talarico go down by at least 5 pts. Kind of the usual bullshit that has been spun about Ted Cruz in past battles, and then he pulls away nicely on election day. Paxton will take off the gloves, and it will be a beautiful thing - a lesson to Republicans all over on how it should be done.

I really wish these articles about Talarico and his sacrilegious church would use “Presbyterian USA” instead of just “Presbyterian”. There’s nothing Calvinistic about his church and very little in the whole denomination. Denominations like Presbyterian Church in America, PCA, won’t tolerate this trash.

One of the first things Satan does is re-write the Bible, and that’s true of a lot of cults as well. The authentic Word of God is full of truths that are offensive to liars and deceivers so they rewrite and rebrand.

Apologies. I don’t know the distinctions between Protestant denominations particularly well. I just used the name his “church” uses.

He's going to go down by a whole lot more than that on Judgment Day.

That’s true. And the first lie was a subtle addition by the Enemy: “don’t touch the tree”.

That’s a lesson to be very precise.

(And, to heed my own warning, I’m paraphrasing Genesis.)

I think people take what is written in Revelation concerning adding to or taking away from “this” scroll and add it to the whole bible (which is a good practice).
Deuteronomy is where God says not to add to or take away from his commandments (again a good practice).
If this were the case for the whole Bible then we would have to discount the KJV as it adds words in italics for a better understanding. Now this absurd version of his Bible is extremely disconcerting and a lot of people will accept it (just as satan wants it).

this kind of BS will play in the Presbyterian and episcopalian churches, but the bible thumping Baptist, Apostolic and the “normal” Methodist, it will not. Hopefully his heresy will override Paxton’s personal baggage

The Presbyterian Church USA (PCUSA) has been going astray over the past 60 years.

The PCUSA has lost thousands of churches and millions of members in those 60 years.

Talerico’s PCUSA church in Austin is typical of the remaining PCUSA churches.

PCUSA is not the only mainline denomination that has gone astray. UMC, EPC, UCC, ELCA are among the other mainline denominations who have become irrelevant.

Very pretty, but empty, buildings will not be a material concern in this election.

Our PCA is the exact opposite of PCUSA. A shame they’re both Presbyterian; it confuses people.

Yes, PCA has been suffering from that for 50 years.

Same thing for the Methodists. Leftist United Methodist Church vs the new, biblical Global Methodist Church.
