Breaking: Pastor of Dad’s Place Found Guilty of Criminal Charge for Keeping Church Doors Open 24 Hours-a-Day

Breaking: Pastor of Dad’s Place Found Guilty of Criminal Charge for Keeping Church Doors Open 24 Hours-a-Day Guilty verdict comes after relentless opposition from the City of Bryan, Ohio and as temperatures in area dip to near zero.

Bryan, OH—Today, Pastor Chris Avell of Dad’s Place Church in Bryan, Ohio was found guilty of a criminal charge regarding a fire code violation filed against him by city officials. The year-long battle with the City of Bryan that has continuously attempted to shut down the church, Dad’s Place, resulted in a conviction for the caring pastor. Pastor Avell was fined $200 and given a 60-day suspended jail sentence. The judge stayed his decision for 30-days to allow the Avell’s attorneys to appeal.

“No pastor in America, including Pastor Chris Avell, should be pronounced guilty for providing temporary shelter to those in desperate need,” said Ryan Gardner, Counsel for First Liberty. “Only government officials could say with a straight face that people are safer in the sub-zero temperatures on the street than inside the warmth of a church.”

Dad’s Place is a church in northwest Ohio that operates 24-hours a day to serve the most vulnerable in its community. For over a year, the City of Bryan, Ohio has been aggressively attacking the church in court, including alleged zoning violations, middle-of-the-night fire inspections, police antagonism, and even criminal charges filed against the church’s pastor. And while city officials demand the church install an expensive fire suppression system, the city does not require all of its motels, most of its apartment complexes, and even a senior living facility to install fire suppression systems in their buildings.

The Court of Appeals of Ohio, Sixth Appellate District, recently issued a stay against the city in their lawsuit against Dad’s Place, allowing the church to continue operating.

When I was young back in the 1960s, all our ,ocal churches were NEVER LOCKED.

Anyoe could go in to pray anytime , around the clock.

When Satan’s minions showed up around 1967 doing drugs in churches and fornicating in the pews, they locked the doors .

We lost something then.

Only 10 years ago, our church was open 24/7. It had to start locking the doors after someone vandalized it causing thousands in damage.

In the case of this Ohio church, the pastor sounds like a good person who wants to help. I checked for more info on the story - it turns out, other people were complaining about the church because there was some trouble there. Unfortunately, when you open your doors to help the downtrodden, sometimes bad people come in... come to think of it, it’s kind of like immigration. Maybe the pastor can find a way to keep the troublemakers out?

Oh, churches are helping, all right. Lutheran in this case...

This is the CEO of a non-profit organization that was sent $300,000,000+ of your tax dollars for immigration related services. Seems like an excessive amount that DOGE might want to look into.

Be sure to read the comments.

This is what happens when Deep State funnels billions of taxpayer dollars to churches.

Our churches now serve Deep State.

The homeless are damaging to business and nearby communities. We need to start by calling them what they are: mentally ill, drug and alcohol abusers and criminals. A cop told me, when you see a guy with a sign on a good intersection that means he won the fight. When it’s a woman there’s a pimp taking her money and keeping her in line with drugs. The “homeless” are an industry. Industries exist to grow. See California. Is it kindness to allow people to exist in misery and addiction on the street?

From excerpt; “...Ohio has been aggressively attacking the church in court, including alleged zoning violations, middle-of-the-night fire inspections, police antagonism, and even criminal charges filed against the church’s pastor.”

If there is a disaster the city would be criticized for not doing inspections.

https://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-ghost-ship-fire-20161217-story.html

Reporting from Oakland — One of the biggest mysteries to come out of the deadly Ghost Ship fire is why authorities didn’t do more to address safety and health concerns about a warehouse that some former residents described as a “death trap.”

Fire officials said they had no record of their inspectors or firefighters going inside the building in at least 12 years, and city building code inspectors had not for more than 30 years.

But there are growing indications that some fire officials knew of at least some of the Ghost Ship’s problems.

Meanwhile, from Upstate NY...

Upstate New York church among those bracing for potential ICE visits

The last paragraph...

...All Saints Parish is now teaching parishioners about what rights they have, and what they can do if approached by members of ICE.

I wonder how much taxpayer money it's been getting from Deep State to do this...

You’re a wealth of knowledge in this subject. I wonder if some DOGE staff are assigned to scan social media like FR.

>Our churches now serve Deep State.

Be clear. Globalist pawns run large left-wing NGOs under cover of churches. Meanwhile the local church/parish might be the most based group of people in the country.

Ditto that. At least the Catholic Churches never locked their doors. You could go in anytime to pray. Not so anymore.
