Read later.
Did God create evil?
No.
1 John 1:5: GOD is light, and in him 5here is no darkness at all.”
This is a much misunderstood verse. The Hebrew word is calamity. Evil o4ginated with the pride of Satan. Where Satan got this Pride, we are not sure, but it is probably GOD’S plan to make Mankind. Evil originated in the heart of Ha Satan.
Did God Create Evil?
NO, HE DID NOT.
What He did do...:
He gave US A FREE WILL. He did not CREATE EVIL, MAN did.
I always believed that things like Hell and evil are the results of the absence of God
For goodness sake, people: read Augustine. Confessions. It’s all there, spelled out in ragged, emotional detail at the end of the 4th century A.D.
A short postulation:
“God knew that his creation, including every onee of his angels, would at some time, choose their own destiny, with or without him. Therefore, to say no to him, for whatever reason, was to be considered mutiny, and would harvest punishment, ergo hell.”
“Y’all are with me, or agin’ me.”
.
correct
Yes beyond any doubt God created evil. It says so in the Bible
Yup 3xactly Bob. As unsaved people, we were once hostile to God, but he loved us so much he didn’t give up on us and kept after us knowing one day we would be justified by the blood of the Lamb, sins forgotten in regards to any condemnation for them.
It amazes me that he chose me.

Give this a listen.
This is the message that I give the inmates every Thursday night. But this particular recording was when I was sitting with a homeless guy in downtown greenville.
It’s the same message.
Here on FR, I once argued that He doesn’t do evil, but, again, He says He does … in the Bible. That, too, was hard for me to accept at first.
I guess it’s a matter of perspective and it’s like someone else said about how you define “evil”. For me, it’s hard to accept that God would do any of the many things I think of as being “evil”.
But, otoh, I am reminded that, just as His Love and Mercy are like a fathomless abyss, so, too, are His Wrath and Judgment, as it will be when this time of mercy and grace is over and His Day comes.
Are you trying to say that an all powerful, all knowing God has no control over his abilities?
Uh .. no!
Be grateful that he Chooses when to use his powers or the universe wouldn’t survive!
