Given the current state of things, I felt compelled to start a prayer thread for President Trump today as the attacks against him right now are particularly vicious. If he can't be brought down legally, then the forces that be seek to break him down mentally, physically, and spiritually -- not to mention his wife and family, and all his millions, nay, billions of supporters around the world.
The fact he is still standing at all right now is nothing short of miraculous.
Mr. Trump is NO saint nor prophet, but he is a vessel in need of the Savior, and in need of the Holy Spirit to succeed at anything. So let's lift his soul up in prayer today. Feel free to add any prayers, verses, quotes, etc...
2 In your righteousness, rescue me and deliver me; turn your ear to me and save me. 3 Be my rock of refuge, to which I can always go; give the command to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress. 4 Deliver me, my God, from the hand of the wicked, from the grasp of those who are evil and cruel.
Do not cast me away when I am old; do not forsake me when my strength is gone. 10 For my enemies speak against me; those who wait to kill me conspire together. 11 They say, “God has forsaken him; pursue him and seize him, for no one will rescue him.”
12 Do not be far from me, my God; come quickly, God, to help me. 13 ...May those who want to harm me be covered with scorn and disgrace.
14 As for me, I will always have hope; I will praise you more and more. 15 My mouth will tell of your righteous deeds, of your saving acts all day long— though I know not how to relate them all.
16 I will come and proclaim your mighty acts, Sovereign Lord; I will proclaim your righteous deeds, yours alone. 17 Since my youth, God, you have taught me, and to this day I declare your marvelous deeds. 18 Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, my God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your mighty acts to all who are to come.
(From Psalm 71)
Amen.
No weapon formed against you (President Trump)shall prosper,
And every tongue which rises against you in judgment
You shall condemn.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
And their righteousness is from Me,”
Says the Lord. Isaiah 54:17
we are to pray for our enemies and that was the best I could do.
Amen.
Amen
Prayer threads are nice but what is THIS?:
“ Mr. Trump is NO saint nor prophet, ”
Make it STOP
Stop
It is in no one’s job description not even the presidents’ as evidenced by 46 previous, that being a saint and being perfect is not a resume must
As a Catholic I can advise that there is no living saint. None. Sainthood is strictly reserved for those passed on and in heaven not even purgatory and they cannot by definition be a saint until they are there
Perfection is reserved for God. That is the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit
Furthermore the defense and protection of the Constitution is the only job description and the only oath he has to make. He or she can do so and be sinless while doing so as that is how the constitution is constructed however this is not necessary and it is not in the oath. And it has member been done
He is allowed to be mean to the enemy of the constitution both foreign and domestic as any military member is especially as he is additionally the commander in chief of the military, one of the only constitutionally designated duties
Being nice to the enemy in order to change them is a notion left for silly liberal suburban women, pampered celebrities both fake news and entertainment types and fluffy academics to by the way very nastily try to sell
But please stop this.
Trump is in fact a good man who has more than proven he will protect and defend the constitution while by the way his detractors have most imperfectly and in an un saintly manner continually try to destroy
Please get your head out of the crap they’re selling you and ask yourself ‘what is Trump so imperfect about
Ask who is perfect?
Ask why do we have to preface Trump with he’s not perfect when we do that to no one else living or in history no presidents past
And the please make it STOP
Amen 🙏🏻!!!! I’ll be praying for Donald Trump, don’t worry!
well, if he’s a believer, and I believe he is, he IS a saint. All believers are saints.
I pray for continued, divine protection on him, his family and all that surround him. I’m thankful for the abundant wisdom being poured out on him in his every day interactions, showing him the path to take and the actions to engage in.
The Word of God is quite clear that ALL believers are saints, many (MANY) of which are quite alive.
And sometimes I say things like, "Can't stick around, have to fly." But I know I won't really fly, and am filled with shame.
he wasn’t the saint of jetpacks, was he??
There is ongoing prayer on the America Prayer Vigil thread.
Here’s today’s prayer.

(Good to see your name on Free Republic).
“What makes a person a saint?
Introduction. All Christians are called to be saints. Saints are persons in heaven (officially canonized or not), who lived heroically virtuous lives, offered their life for others, or were martyred for the faith, and who are worthy of imitation.“
Little known fact. Trump has one of these. The Trump plane is just a distraction.
It’s looking like God does have his back.
respectfully, you need to get your TRUTH from the Word of God; not Catholic literature.
Here’s a sampling (there’s considerably more references than this) of every day believers, known as saints.
