Show us how awesome you are - because it's all about you eh?
Proverbs 21:24
A proud and haughty man—“Scoffer” is his name; He acts with arrogant pride.
Jesse is as corrupt as Mike Johnson.
Luke 16:19-31
“There was a rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and who feasted sumptuously every day. And at his gate was laid a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores, who desired to be fed with what fell from the rich man’s table. Moreover, even the dogs came and licked his sores. The poor man died and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried, and in Hades, being in torment, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham far off and Lazarus at his side. ..
Nice!
I can never understand while folks will give money to this guy or any guy in the hopes of being rich...guess they flunked arithmetic....
Sure, God may grant prosperity; but God cannot be ordered about.
It is not hard to be poor in material things and rich in spirit.
God does bless with wealth, but if you pursue wealth, then the blessing of wealth flees from you.
You may end up with dead material things which cannot make you happy, but you lose the gentle whispers and joy of the conscious of Jesus’ presence, the essence of happiness, by pursuing wealth instead of pursuing Him.
God help him - and us - to turn from the law and the dead visible things of the world, flesh, and devil to once again embrace the invisible redemption of the cross and the gospel of the grace of Christ wherein is victory and by which we reign in life (Rom. 5:17).
My grandfather once said don’t trust a preacher who owns more than one suit. He didn’t mean that literally! He was making a point. And I think it was a good point.
That he is.
Louisiana can really churn them out, can't they? Must be all the toxic chemicals in the ground water.
Jesus didn't preach the "prosperity gospel". He preached that your riches are in heaven.
For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? — Mark 8:36
Cant take it with you Jesse..which by your age your time is not to far away.
Sounds like a talented and crafty salesman. Too bad he’s not Christian.
yep.
There are six things the LORD hates, seven that are detestable to him: 17 haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, 18 a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers.
This guy hits several of them
> I can never understand while folks will give money to this guy or any guy in the hopes of being rich... <
“Prosperity gospel” preachers are insidious. Most of them start their pitch with a legitimate biblical message, one that makes sense in today’s world. There’s no talk of sending in money. Then the topic of money slowly creeps in. The next thing you know, you’re pulling out your checkbook.
These charlatans usually have a tell. It’s the word “seed”.
“Plant your seed (a large donation), and you will harvest one hundred-fold. Let me tell you about Jenny (who probably doesn’t even exist). Jenny sent in a $1000 seed last month. Yesterday, she got a call from her credit card company. They have forgiven her entire debt.”
I’m not exaggerating here.
Proverbs 6:16-19
H as he never heard the term “Reversal Of Fortune”?
Devastating material loss can happen to anyone.
Often just one damaging lawsuit away.
This moneychanger is just begging to have his table flipped.
Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.
Matthew 19:25
🔝🔝🔝
A good enough huckster can make a good living at separating people from their money.
Can't imagine how a genuine Christian and especially a Christien Minister would fleece his flock..
