God does bless with wealth, but if you pursue wealth, then the blessing of wealth flees from you.

You may end up with dead material things which cannot make you happy, but you lose the gentle whispers and joy of the conscious of Jesus’ presence, the essence of happiness, by pursuing wealth instead of pursuing Him.

God help him - and us - to turn from the law and the dead visible things of the world, flesh, and devil to once again embrace the invisible redemption of the cross and the gospel of the grace of Christ wherein is victory and by which we reign in life (Rom. 5:17).

God certainly does bless people with wealth. Abraham, Job, Joseph, David, Solomon and Hezekiah come to mind. Money isn’t evil, the love of it is. That being said, the aforementioned weren’t preachers; they were either producers of food/clothing or managers of kingdoms, many of whom had to fight on the battlefield. If they ever let their wealth go to their head, God straightened them out by reminding them that everything came from Him.
