As ChristianTwitter catfights over whether or not John Lindell was justified to bring on noted sword-wallower Alex Magala to perform at his 2024 Stronger Men’s conference, and whether or not disgraced and disqualified Pastor Mark Driscoll was right to call it out in the bizarre and Driscollian way that he did, another question remains: what about the other performers that Driscoll did NOT call out?
Amid the brawl, Magala took a shot at Driscoll for comparing his Chinese pole to a “stripper pole” and for describing his performance as “a man who ripped his shirt off like a woman does in front of a pole at a strip club,” telling Church Leaders:
It didn’t really bother me because I know that the guy got lost. He got lost in the translation of what this act was actually meant for. He got lost in the interpretation of what kind of pole it was. And on top of that, he didn’t mention other the performers who were topless.”
No, he did not. It’s a great observation, since the lack of clothing and Asherah pollin’ seemed key factor in Driscoll getting hot and bothered.
Magala is referring to The Ramadhani Brothers Ibrahim Jobu and Fadhili Ramadhani, a world-class athletic duo from Tanzania who won America’s Got Talent: Fantasy League by performing daring balancing acts.
Along with Magala, they also attended the Stronger Men’s conference, where they performed shirtless on the same platform Magala did, appearing alongside him in a video.
Despite Driscoll’s creepy little beliefs that Magala was performing on a religious “high place” and on a pole of Asherah, this is the exact same “high place” that the Ramadhani brothers performed on, yet no rebuke.
Furthermore, while an “Asherah pole” is a representation of the Canaanite fertility goddess, no even knows what they look like. Historians have some guesses, but that information is lost to history. For this reason, who is to say that the brothers weren’t incorporating into their act what could be described as many Asherah poles in the platforms seen below, if we’re following Driscoll’s weird ‘everything is sexual’ projections? Yet why the silence?
Apparently, some shirtless performances with an Asherah pole get a pass, but others don’t.
Lindell, who had a key role in inviting all the performers, is not without fault. Following the revelation that Magala was a former stripper, James River church issued a statement addressing it:
“We did not know all of Alex’s background, and we apologize for not checking more deeply. We have now put in place a more thorough vetting process for all performers and speakers. We would never be in agreement that sexually oriented performances are appropriate or consistent with biblical Christianity.”
In a lie-filled sermon that the church paid money to promote and spread, Lindell slammed Driscoll for accusing Magala of not being a Christian, seeking to weaponize his alleged professing faith as a justifying factor in being invited to perform. (Even though, as we have revealed, he’s definitely not a Christian)
However, according to sources, the shirtless Ramadhani are not Christians either but rather reportedly are devout Muslims, another oversight that has seemingly bypassed the now-admittedly sub-par vetting process.
Ed. Note: We don’t even want to know what Driscoll would say about this performance and pole at the 2021 Men’s conference:

Good grief - what exactly was the purpose of this “Christian” conference? Who catered the event — Hooters? Men’s conferences I’ve attended have guest speakers and seminars that focus on Bible study, being better Christian husbands/fathers, etc. Too many “Christian” events these days focus on entertaining the audience instead of focusing on God.
“(Even though, as we have revealed, he’s definitely not a Christian)”
I thought Magan professed to be an Orthodox Christian - how/when was this disproved by the source?
I saw those guys on America’s Got Talent.
They won..................
who is Driscoll? I don’t read articles.
*Magan” - Magala. My bad.
So many Back Stories, criss-crossed with Sub Plots wrapped around Power Plays based on ego. Oy!
Time to look for another place of worship.
Too many Drama Queens.
“Good grief - what exactly was the purpose of this “Christian” conference?”
I was hoping someone here could tell me!
That’s because they’re Christian in name only.
I saw those guys on America’s Got Talent.
They won..................
So these prudes are complaining about something shown on American broadcast TV.
Some people really need to get out and experience reality.
I don’t attend Church because it is too much like “American broadcast TV”
Correct.
