Well for 1800 years or so no mention of any Rapture in church history was ever mentioned; all those people were looking for the 2nd. Coming. Only fundamental churches believe in any sort of Rapture. And you'd be wrong in your assertion.

Also, Cyrus Scofield was NEVER a SDA or had any association whatsoever with that church. Took over for EGW? Are you serious?

So you were taught by people who were taught by people who were taught by people who were ... but I digress. What a ridiculous argument....and I'm being generous with the use of the word argument.
Do you know what “Dynamic Equivalency” is?
Yes. And I avoid those translations.

One Greek verb, the meaning of which, would cover an entire page. Choose the word you want to use out of all of them. DE means there is no direct meaning of a word from one language to another so the closest meaning is used thereby causing people to misconstrue what the original passages mean.

Please list the authors of a Rapture theory prior to say: 1790. And the church they were members of.

No, he was not.

I just proved you wrong on everything you said. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
Saying "No, he was not." (post #106) is NOT "proof."

Why can’t you address the specific question in post 94? Why won’t you answer it? Edward Irving either translated Lacunza’s book into English, or he didn’t. Why are you purposely dodging the question?

You are correct:
Why does Christianity have so many denominations?
Followers of Jesus span the globe. But the global body of more than 2 billion Christians is separated into thousands of denominations. Pentecostal, Presbyterian, Lutheran, Baptist, Apostolic, Methodist — the list goes on. Estimations show there are more than 200 Christian denominations in the U.S. and a staggering 45,000 globally, according to the Center for the Study of Global Christianity.

I’d be careful listening to a poster who denies the duly elected pope of his/her denomination...whichever that one is.
To: Philsworld
So what if it was translated.....big whoop.
