I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving be made for everyone: for kings and all those in authority that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. ~ 1 Timothy 2:1-2

TURN YOUR EYES UPON JESUS IN THE NEW YEAR!
“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
In Jesus Name, we pray for Freepers around the world for spiritual and physical strength to endure challenges and to remain steadfast in their faith. We ask special blessings for the Robinson Family in their dedication and faithfulness in providing the internet with the FreeRepublic.com website.
Heavenly Father, As we say goodbye to another year we are reminded that “We are one year closer to Your return.” We thank You for Your Ever-Presence in past seasons of triumph and tribulation and find comfort in facing the New Year with Your encouraging Words of Promise found in Philippians 4:6-7: Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Father God, We repent of any mistakes we have made in the past year and ask for forgiveness and Your cleansing Grace.
As we await for the new beginnings and challenges of 2024 that You have already planned for us, may we be mindful that the wise will walk in obedience to Your Word always seeking Your Divine Wisdom, clear direction and purpose.
We pray for our country’s leadership and unity. . .that they will seek righteousness and Your guidance aligning decisions with Your Will.
May You find us reflections of Your Love extending compassion, kindness and the gospel to others. . .as the hymn reminds us “Keep telling the story, be faithful and true. . .Let others see Jesus in You.”
We ask for Your divine physical and spiritual protection over our lives, our family and friends, our military forces, those in all facets of leadership standing for Your righteousness and seeking Your guidance and clarity of direction for making decisions. We pray that churches will not succumb to societal mandates and pressures but rather stand boldly for the Truth.
We pray for the young people of this country and family unity. Please protect them from the physical, emotional and spiritual evil that is permeating our nation.
We ask for Your Divine Intervention in the lives of those who have been treated unjustly by incarceration, torture, financial ruin, shattered dreams and relationships. . . may truth and justice prevail . . . and please provide those in denial of truth with the ability to face reality.
Father God, we ask for Your provision of strength, healing and protection to those and their families who have been victimized and wronged by the “scamdemics” of the evil one.
We pray for the strength and peace for the people of Israel and Jerusalem. . .for their salvation. We pray Your blessings for missionaries around the world. Please guide and protect them as they spread the Gospel.
Heavenly Father, we commit our lives in the New Year to Your Perfect Will, Purpose and Glory. Thank You Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, and Holy Spirit . . .we give You honor and praise. In the Name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

Psalm 109
To the leader. Of David. A Psalm.
1 Do not be silent, O God of my praise.
2 For wicked and deceitful mouths are opened against me,
speaking against me with lying tongues.
3 They beset me with words of hate,
and attack me without cause.
4 In return for my love they accuse me,
even while I make prayer for them.*
5 So they reward me evil for good,
and hatred for my love.
6 They say,* ‘Appoint a wicked man against him;
let an accuser stand on his right.
7 When he is tried, let him be found guilty;
let his prayer be counted as sin.
8 May his days be few;
may another seize his position.
9 May his children be orphans,
and his wife a widow.
10 May his children wander about and beg;
may they be driven out of* the ruins they inhabit.
11 May the creditor seize all that he has;
may strangers plunder the fruits of his toil.
12 May there be no one to do him a kindness,
nor anyone to pity his orphaned children.
13 May his posterity be cut off;
may his name be blotted out in the second generation.
14 May the iniquity of his father* be remembered before the Lord,
and do not let the sin of his mother be blotted out.
15 Let them be before the Lord continually,
and may his* memory be cut off from the earth.
16 For he did not remember to show kindness,
but pursued the poor and needy
and the broken-hearted to their death.
17 He loved to curse; let curses come on him.
He did not like blessing; may it be far from him.
18 He clothed himself with cursing as his coat,
may it soak into his body like water,
like oil into his bones.
19 May it be like a garment that he wraps around himself,
like a belt that he wears every day.’
20 May that be the reward of my accusers from the Lord,
of those who speak evil against my life.
21 But you, O Lord my Lord,
act on my behalf for your name’s sake;
because your steadfast love is good, deliver me.
22 For I am poor and needy,
and my heart is pierced within me.
23 I am gone like a shadow at evening;
I am shaken off like a locust.
24 My knees are weak through fasting;
my body has become gaunt.
25 I am an object of scorn to my accusers;
when they see me, they shake their heads.
26 Help me, O Lord my God!
Save me according to your steadfast love.
27 Let them know that this is your hand;
you, O Lord, have done it.
28 Let them curse, but you will bless.
Let my assailants be put to shame;* may your servant be glad.
29 May my accusers be clothed with dishonor;
may they be wrapped in their own shame as in a mantle.
30 With my mouth I will give great thanks to the Lord;
I will praise him in the midst of the throng.
31 For he stands at the right hand of the needy,
to save them from those who would condemn them to death.
Agreeing with you in prayer.
AMEN and AMEN!!!!!

Colossians 15
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.
16
For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.
17
He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
18
And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy.
19
For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him,
20
and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.
21
Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of [6] your evil behavior.
22
But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation—
23
if you continue in your faith, established and firm, not moved from the hope held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.
24
Now I rejoice in what was suffered for you, and I fill up in my flesh what is still lacking in regard to Christ’s afflictions, for the sake of his body, which is the church.
25
I have become its servant by the commission God gave me to present to you the word of God in its fullness—
26
the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the saints.
27
To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
28
We proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ.
29
To this end I labor, struggling with all his energy, which so powerfully works in me.
Therefore encourage one another and build each other up as you are already doing.
