Most Christians assume that Sunday is the biblically approved day of worship. The Roman catholic church protests that it transferred Christian worship from the biblical Sabbath (Saturday) to Sunday, and that to try to argue that the change was made in the Bible is both dishonest and a denial of Catholic authority. If Protestantism wants to base its teachings only on the Bible, it should worship on Saturday.

——>You don’t keep the Sabbath or know what it means.
Says as self admitted Sabbath commandment breaker.
——>You judge me NEVER.
No human is “judging” you. You are paranoid.
“the term ‘sabbatismos—Sabbathkeeping’ used in v. 9 make it abundantly clear that the writer is thinking of a literal Sabbath observance”
And 4:10 says HOW the Sabbath is kept.
The Hebrews were in danger of reverting back to the comfort of Judaism to escape from persecution that came due not being received by others within Judaism on account of Christ. You would twist the message to the OPPOSITE of the writer’s intent expressed in the passage itself by reaching out to commentators and focussing on definitions of words we all know but ignoring the plain message. Hint: The author is talking about a spiritual rest in Christ’s finished work of salvation. And this is why you NEVER keep the Sabbath and do not know what it means. You can’t ever please God because your mind is totally focussed on the flesh.
People in cults are repetitive in regurgitating the propaganda they they are unable to comprehend and your repetitive references have illuminated this fact.

“Says as self admitted Sabbath commandment breaker.”
NOPE. I never said what I do on the Sabbath. You’re just making an assumption.
But, quite frankly, it is none of your business if I physically work on the Sabbath or have the foreskin of my penis intact. And both have zero bearing on pleasing God.
You’re like the Judaisers who were always looking over the bathroom stall to see what Gentile they could bring into bondage to salvation by works of the Law. You think it’s your job to evaluate others’ compliance with the outward fleshly expression of the Law, while ignoring the primary message. The Sabbath is about Jesus.
And that’s the point your false Gospel misses.
You do the same works that the murderers of Jesus did. They physically rested every Sabbath. But they mocked Him. They mocked His words. They wanted to examine others, judge others, and control others in their hypocrisy. Joshua never gave them rest. Jesus offered them rest, but they rejected it. You are like them.
——>The Hebrews were in danger of reverting back to the comfort of Judaism to escape from persecution that came due not being received by others within Judaism on account of Christ.
The 10 commandment law, and ESPECIALLY the 4th, ISN’T JEWISH. God’s people have kept it (or not) since Creation.
Reverting back to Judaism, in terms of Ceremonial/Shadow laws, ordinances, etc...including Circumcision.
DOES NOT INCLUDE GOD’S 10 COMMANDMENT LAW, INCLUDING THE SABBATH.
——>NOPE. I never said what I do on the Sabbath. You’re just making an assumption.
NOPE. You continually dump on me for keeping the letter of God’s 4 commandment law. You do not keep the literal 7th-day-Sabbath commandment. You are a commandment breaker.
——>You’re like the Judaisers who were always looking over the bathroom stall to see what Gentile they could bring into bondage to salvation by works of the Law.
Funny, I never knew that keeping God’s commandments out of love for what he did for me on the cross was BONDAGE. He actually commands me to do it (He commands you to do it as well)

You have no standing. You openly rebel against keeping the 4th commandment as written by Jesus Christ. You break it and teach others to do the same, through your ignorance of the bible and hatred of God’s law. Those are the simple facts. No offense meant.

It is illuminating to associate with the first act of Creation the second great act of God in history. It was on Friday after noon that Christ completed His redemptive mission on this earth. John reports the last words that Jesus pronounced on the cross: “When Jesus had received the vinegar, he said, ‘It is finished’; and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit” (chap. 19:30, R.S.V.).
Some might say that it was just coincidental that Christ completed His work of redemption on Friday afternoon and that He pronounced those significant words “It is finished” just as, to use Luke’s words, “the Sabbath was beginning” (Luke 23:54, R.S.V.). We know, however, that in God’s plan nothing really happens accidentally. There is a purpose and a reason behind what our human eyes might see as simple coincidence. Luke emphasized specifically in his inspired re port that when Christ died on the cross, “It was the day of Preparation, and the Sabbath was beginning.” In the follow ing verse the same Gospel writer describes how the women meticulously placed Christ’s body at rest in the tomb, and then, we read in verse 56, “On the sabbath they rested according to the commandment.” Indeed, Christ completed His second great act as the Sabbath was beginning, and having said, “It is finished,” He took time to rest on the Sabbath.
enjoy the waiting.
You bore me with your repetitive SDA narrative nonsense.
Praying for you to see the freedom of salvation through Christ’s finished work, but you’ll never convert me to Ellen’s cult and your pride filled banal banter serves nothing except your works based notion for salvation and of converting others to your cult.
In the future we can discuss anything else in this conservative forum, but not your cult, or it’s heresy.
I worship Him in spirit and truth.
My faith is evident BY my deeds.
You believe your salvation is BECAUSE of your works.
Yet, your works are like filthy rags before the Lord.
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Once again and for the last time, stop posting to me.
Next post from you gets a mod ping, because you’re being harassing.
>>>Lol. You think I’d persecute you for resting on the Sabbath?>>>>
Hahaha...you hate it now. Imagine when all hell is breaking loose. But how bizarre isn’t it? A church united on common doctrine persecuting a small remnant who keep the commandments of God instead of their commandments when all hell is breaking loose? I can tell you are a history buff and a Bible Scholar.
Revelation 12:17
Your religion rewrites the entire Bible to accommodate a heresy.
My Bible does not say what yours says. But then again, I didn’t add a bunch of manmade ideas to it.
I’ve given you endless scriptures that prove your claims to be false. You haven’t answered any of them. You simply go down your meandering path of manmade doctrine and simply refuse to listen to scripture.
Suit yourself.
“You continually dump on me for keeping the letter of God’s 4 commandment law. “
First, you don’t keep it.
Second, you don’t know what the Sabbath is.
Third, my criticism has NOTHING to do with your choice to rest on the Sabbath. It has to do with you preaching a false Gospel.
“You do not keep the literal 7th-day-Sabbath commandment. You are a commandment breaker.”
You don’t know a single thing about me. But you’re very much like the Judaisers who wanted to take a look over the bathroom stall to check the foreskin of Gentile believers. You think what I or others do on the Sabbath is your business. It’s no more your business than whether I have a foreskin on my penis. (None. In case that isn’t clear.)
“You have no standing”
You don’t have any authority to even consider my standing.
“You openly rebel against keeping the 4th commandment as written by Jesus Christ.”
I know what the Sabbath is, and you don’t. You certainly do NOT keep it.
“You break it and teach others to do the same”
Funny thing is, Jesus said such a person would be in the Kingdom of Heaven. But I understand how the Sabbath is kept, and you don’t. You break it 7 days a week.
“patiently waiting for your response to post 700”
When you go back and respond verse-by-verse to my many pages of well-researched comments, I’ll revisit your query in 700 and write you an essay. I promise.
Jesus kept the Sabbath perfectly. He was the only one who was sinless.
“A church united on common doctrine persecuting a small remnant who keep the commandments of God instead of their commandments when all hell is breaking loose? I can tell you are a history buff and a Bible Scholar.”
There is a little bit of truth in your concerns about being persecuted by Antichrist. I don’t think you realize what that is going to look like. But the betrayal Christ spoke of in the Olivet Discourse, and the apostasy that Paul mentions in 2 Thessalonians, both appear to be referring to “Christians”, at least in name.
However, I’d do what I could to assist anyone fleeing persecution by the Antichrist. And if I hid a seventh-day adventist or similar professing follower of Jesus in my home, I’d insist that they keep the Sabbath according to their conscience. I just wouldn’t allow anyone to try to spread false religion to anyone else under my care. And teaching people that salvation requires Gentiles to physically rest on the Sabbath is definitely a false Gospel. And it violates the very spirit of that commandment.
Romans 14:1-7 NKJV
Receive one who is weak in the faith, but not to disputes over doubtful things. For one believes he may eat all things, but he who is weak eats only vegetables. Let not him who eats despise him who does not eat, and let not him who does not eat judge him who eats; for God has received him. Who are you to judge another’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand. One person esteems one day above another; another esteems every day alike. Let each be fully convinced in his own mind. He who observes the day, observes it to the Lord; and he who does not observe the day, to the Lord he does not observe it. He who eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives God thanks; and he who does not eat, to the Lord he does not eat, and gives God thanks. For none of us lives to himself, and no one dies to himself.
——>You think what I or others do on the Sabbath is your business.
I could care less. But, I do care about you and your friends potentially ending the salvation of all who read your misrepresentation of scripture. Obedience to God matters.
