Most Christians assume that Sunday is the biblically approved day of worship. The Roman catholic church protests that it transferred Christian worship from the biblical Sabbath (Saturday) to Sunday, and that to try to argue that the change was made in the Bible is both dishonest and a denial of Catholic authority. If Protestantism wants to base its teachings only on the Bible, it should worship on Saturday.

So it is appropriate that a similar warning goes out that references that cursed number. Those who preach a false Gospel will meet the same fate.

....So what about the Gentiles? Today there is the Israel of God (Galatians 6:16) and the Israel after the flesh (1 Corinthians 10:18). The Israel of the flesh are those that are Jews by birth. The Israel of God is anyone who belongs to Christ and is under the New Covenant. There are many Christians who do not understand that if we are Christ’s then we are spiritual Jews and the Israel of God. The New Covenant was also ONLY made with ISRAEL. If one chooses to reject this truth then they cannot be under the New Covenant. Note carefully the following scriptures.
Romans 9:6-8 “Not as though the word of God has taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: 7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall your seed be called. 8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.”
In the above passage, Paul states that the children of the flesh (Jews by birth) are not the children of God but the children of the promise are. But who are the children of the promise now? The following passage explains this in a way that cannot possibly be misunderstood.
Galatians 3:28-29 “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if you be Christ’s, then are you Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.”
When the Jews rejected God’s message from Stephen (Acts 6:8-7:60, see Daniel’s 70 weeks prophecy) and stoned him, the following statement became fact. He is not a Jew which is one outwardly, but he is a Jew who is one inwardly and so if we are God’s children then we are Abraham’s seed and therefore children of Israel and heirs according to the promise. The tablets of stone and the sign-Sabbath written on it were given to Israel. Gentiles were not the recipients but merely witnesses of the sign and of the light to the Gentiles from Israel.
Which is greater, tablets of stone written upon by God that pronounce judgment on the whole world, or the hearts of those who rest in Christ on which God has written His law of love and faith?
Even the enemies of Christ can keep the outward rest of the sign-Sabbaths, but they do not enter into the rest of Christ spoken of in Hebrews.

Both the signs of circumcision and sign-Sabbath physical rest were outward symbols of God’s covenant with the descendants of Abraham and Israel (i.e. Jacob). Both apply SPIRITUALLY to SPIRITUAL Israel. Colossians puts Sabbaths in the same category as circumcision. Both apply to the heart. We are to be circumcised in heart. We are to honor the Sabbath by ceasing from fleshly works and receiving the rest Christ promised to those who come to Him.
Outwardly Gentiles DO NOT BECOME JEWS!

Here Paul clearly shows that Jews and Gentiles continue to be distinct groups in the external sense. Spiritually Jews and Gentiles are one in Christ. Same for male and female. But each of these groups continue to exist and have distinct roles.
It is very clear that Jews continued to observe the Law of Moses and Gentiles did not. This applied especially to circumcision. And we can see here that Gentiles continued to live differently from the Jews, even after they trusted in Christ for salvation. There is no evidence anywhere in the Bible or history that the apostles instructed or commanded Gentile converts to physically rest on the Sabbath. Never.
Gentiles did not get circumcised. They did not start eating an all-Kosher diet. And they did not start observing Sabbath physical rest.
God NEVER gave either the sign of circumcision or the sign of Sabbath physical rest to the Gentiles. Gentiles only had to rest physically on the Sabbath when in the land of Israel.
In Acts 19 we see that Paul preaching repentance from idolatry resulted in an uproar because the craftsmen of Ephesus were getting rich off of their promotion of idols.
Yet the apostles gave instruction to slaves who became believers, including those who had unbelieving masters. They also wrote to believing masters. A whole book of the Bible is written to Philemon (a believing master) about Onesimus (a slave who was a new convert to Christ). Never once did they mention the duty to rest on the Sabbath. Can you imagine the uproar it would have caused if the apostles had preached that all the Gentiles should repent of not physically resting every Sabbath and that the Romans should let their slaves rest?
Do you know why that uproar never happened? Because the apostles never taught this. And do know why they never told the slaves to physically rest on the Sabbaths? Because it wasn’t something commanded to them by God.
You are what the Bible calls a mocker.
It’s not a kind label. It reveals an extreme form of pride and stubbornness from which men rarely escape the judgment of Hell.
To top it off, I have defended every claim I’ve made with the Bible. And you are entirely unable to refute ANY of them. This shows that your mockery is directed at the Bible. You don’t show the Bible any respect.
You don’t keep the Sabbath. You don’t even know what it is about.

I think you should physically rest on the Sabbath if you are able because you are “fully convinced in [your] own mind” that God wants you to do this. Maybe you’ll seek God on some Sabbath and actually come to learn what it means and be converted and saved. Maybe you’ll be rescued from a false Gospel of salvation by the works of the flesh. I won’t hold my breath considering your current hard-heartedness and mockery of God. But you’re alive and there is therefore a little hope.
You don’t keep or honor the Sabbath now. You don’t understand it now. You’re NOT what you claim to be— “those who keep the commandments of God” because if you knew God or Christ you wouldn’t be spreading a false Gospel that leaves out resting in Christ’s finished work for salvation. You wouldn’t preach salvation through the Law rather than salvation by grace.

Literal Sabbathkeeping. Further support for a literal understanding of Sabbathkeeping is provided by the historical usage of the term “sabbatismos— sabbath rest” found in Hebrews 4:9.
