Isaiah 27:1
In that day the Lord with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.
You’re very welcome.
Bump!
Bumpin’ Ben!
The Beast and the False Prophet are mortals.
The Dragon is not...................
Correctamundo. But the dragon still has a task to perform....................
Good Morning Dan, and greetings to all.
Terrifying future events; all will be accomplished as God has ordained!
Thank You Dan!
And we need not fear them!
Nice catch.
Very interesting how the many artists chose to illustrate this passage.
#4 especially emphasizes something I had not considered before:
the woman’s trust in God
the dragon is huge and terrifying
however, the woman calmly stands loving the Son
just as evil is everywhere (in our government, media, schools, culture)
yet we are to remain calm, stand in light, love the Son, and trust in God
Faith, the gift of God, makes Christians' world go around.
THE WOMAN, HER SON, AND THE DRAGON:
A great and wondrous sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head.
Then there's the history that 12 men have stood on the Moon, all Americans. (Can-DO!)
No shortage of America-hate these days. It's like blaming the field for the presence of the tares, and then conveniently making no distinction between the tares and the wheat. Well, unless of course it's the tares talking, because they identify as wholesome wheat.
Visiting Marshall
NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center is situated on the U.S. Army's Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. Visitors are welcomed at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, Marshall's official Visitor Center, which offers public bus tours of Marshall.
U.S. Space & Rocket Center visitors can learn more about Marshall's legacy and ongoing work. Interactive exhibits and historic artifacts demonstrate our critical role in supporting the breadth of NASA's exploration and science missions.
Visitors will learn how Marshall develops, integrates and manages complex space systems and scientific research projects that continue to yield exciting and innovative scientific discoveries.
Let's see what David's son has on display:
"That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind."
Ward had initially composed the song's melody in 1882 to accompany lyrics to "Materna", basis of the hymn, "O Mother dear, Jerusalem", though the hymn was not first published until 1892.[3] The combination of Ward's melody and Bates's poem was first entitled "America the Beautiful" in 1910. The song is one of the most popular of the many American patriotic songs.[4]

In 1893, at the age of 33, Bates, an English professor at Wellesley College, had taken a train trip to Colorado Springs, Colorado, to teach at Colorado College.[5] Several of the sights on her trip inspired her, and they found their way into her poem, including the World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago, the "White City" with its promise of the future contained within its gleaming white buildings;[6] the wheat fields of North America's heartland Kansas, through which her train was riding on July 16; and the majestic view of the Great Plains from high atop Pikes Peak.[7][8]

"Kris, I wanna do another one of your songs, and uh help me out on it will ya.."
I have seen the morning burning golden on the mountain in the skies
Aching with the feeling of the freedom of an eagle when she flies
Turning on my world, the way she smiled upon my soul as I lay dying
Healing as the colors in the sunshine and the shadows of her eyes..
Kris:
Waking in the morning to the feeling of her fingers on my skin
Wiping out the traces of the people and the places that I've been
Teaching me that yesterday was something that I never thought of trying
Talking of tomorrow and the money, love and time we had to spend
The Roland Old Glory is heavily worn on the fly edges, consistent with the wear of a seagoing flag.
astronaut
From astro- + -naut. Coined from Ancient Greek ἄστρον (ástron, “star”) and ναύτης (naútēs, “sailor”).
I don't know the answer to the easy way she's opened every door in my mindBut 'Cause dreaming is as easy as believing that it's never gonna end
Loving her was easier than anything I'd ever do again
