A pastor in Oklahoma has been slammed by Christian critics for retelling the Easter story in a 'demonic' way – after performers twerked on stage.
Transformation Church, which recently hired disgraced Pastor Carl Lentz as a strategist, put on a musical performance of the resurrection of Jesus, which has been slammed by other Christians.
Pastor Mike Todd's church in Tulsa claims that 500 people 'gave their lives to Christ' after hosting the edgy play called 'Ransom' on April 8 and 9.
They claim that the performance showed how 'God's love conquered sin, death and the grave' as women danced in tight-fitting outfits and a female version of Jesus on the cross.
But the lively performance, enhanced with pyrotechnics, attracted criticism from the more traditional churches, who branded it as blasphemous.
Footage of the show also depicts a rapper stomping around the stage in $1,050 Mschf Big Red Boot shoes.
Frederick Clement, a church planter, pastor and the founder of By The Book Ministries, said the production was 'nothing short of blasphemous,' though Todd claims the production involves 'everything short of sin.'
Preaching on YouTube he said: 'Pastor Mike Todd never ceases to amaze me! Mike Todd's Easter service was nothing short of blasphemous and it was a complete mockery of the resurrection of Jesus Christ!
'His remarks, the service, the performances were only meant to entertain the goats and mocked the sheep!'
Allie Beth Stuckey, of Blaze TV added: 'It is entirely inappropriate. You have women basically twerking on stage but hey, it's twerking for the kingdom. We're twerking for the Lord out here.

Had to read that twice. Similar thing happened years ago. Yesterday was the 100th anniversary of the birth of Mother Angelica, the nun who founded and developed the EWTN TV and radio network. She was a sternly “anti liberal” and controversial fighter against all wimpy concessions to be popular by allowing politicians who promote abortion and euthanasia and then to expect to be given concessions and a pass. Never happened from her.
The biography last night had “an incident where she got into big trouble with Church hierarchy.” There was a presentation of a woman portraying Christ on the cross. Mother Angelica’s
response was a firm attack on the wimps who kissed up to the crowd we now call “woke.”

When I returned to my community in Milwaukee, I heard that Mother Angelica had taken the field with prophetic fury: that she had “gone ballistic” on television. She had had enough: She had watched them— the theological liberals—for years, and now she (correctly, I was sure) saw their nefarious hand behind this latest outrage....I knew then that I loved this woman of God. Perhaps she was occasionally red in the face, not cool; perhaps she let her outrage be known to all and sundry. Displays of emotion are totally uncool in our bourgeois world: Someone who is labeled “angry” is destined for therapy or perdition or both. But I praised God, for I knew that Heaven had heard an unspoken prayer for justice—that rare thing Our Lord has promised to those who must, for awhile, hunger and thirst for it.
They gave their lives to some other christ. I'm sure it wasn't the Christ of the bible. Mike Todd better consider this: if anyone preaches another Christ, let him be accursed.
