There is nothing in the Bible that supports a pre-tribulation rapture.

That is why no Christians - not even those who left orthodoxy - no Christ believers had anything like the “pre tribulation rapture” as a belief system.

It, the pre-tribulation rapture, is purely an invention of Darby in the early 1800s to get followers. There was John Smith, the founder of Mormons, then the founder of the Seventh Day Adventists, the found of the Jevhosah’s Witnesses etc. who all were around in the USA in the early 1800s and created their religions to get followers.

1Thes 4:16-17 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Am I right to assume that you accept that this verse describes the rapture and that the question is when it happens? I suggest that the following versed also describes the rapture. If not, then can you tell me what it is?
Rev 14:15-16 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe. And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.

Do you think that because something was discovered recently it is not valid? Darby gave us details of his theory in his books and we can check his reasoning using the same Bible that he used. Darby cannot validate the Bible; it is the other way around. You attack the messenger without verifying the message.

God wrote a book. There is evidence that the Bible is God’s work. That is another discussion but we should expect it to contain be much treasure that is yet to be discovered.

Oh, if I had a nickel for every time someone mentioned John Darby. Nothing you wrote is relevant. The Revelation came to me, as it did to many others, by meditating in the Word. But it all starts with KNOWING GOD, and KNOWING who you are IN CHRIST. Since you dismiss dispensationalism - believe that nothing has EVER changed, you will be lost when it comes to understanding the End Times. The Body of Christ is NEITHER Jew or Gentile, male or female, catholic or protestant. They are NEW CREATIONS IN CHRIST. This is TRUTH, not religious hooey. If you BELIEVE the Word, you will see it clearly. Believers are CHILDREN OF GOD. There is now NO condemnation. We are saved from the wrath to come. Our hope is to be with Jesus, not suffering during JACOB's Trouble.

IF THEN you have been raised with Christ [to a new life, thus sharing His resurrection from the dead], aim at and seek the [rich, eternal treasures] that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. [Ps. 110:1.] 2 And set your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on the things that are on the earth. 3 For [as far as this world is concerned] you have died, and your [new, real] life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, Who is our life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in [the splendor of His] glory.

The Amplified Bible (La Habra, CA: The Lockman Foundation, 1987), Col 3:1–4.

Note the conditional statement. Look at whom and where Believers are to be focused. This is not religion. This is RELATIONSHIP. No empty ceremonies and rituals, no hocus pocus, but spiritual intimacy with our Creator through Christ! And our hope is to appear with Christ in Glory. Israel's hope is the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth - as promised. Once the Body is removed, God will again deal with Israel, they will become the nation of kings and priests as promised to the nations. Its so simple it takes a theologian to misunderstand. But the Word is easy to those with eyes to see, and ears to hear.

The teaching of your word gives light, so even the simple can understand. Psalm 119:130 NLT
