The canon was determined by the councils and popes over centuries. Apparently Mad Marty thought he knew better after 1500 years is the best example of arrogance.
The protestant myth that the bible just fell out of the sky with no discussion, debate or elimination of books that did not match the oral teachings of the church for centuries is not only ahistorical but rejects any teaching authority of the successors of the apostles. Once you do that Protestants can, and do, invent new teaching every day.

Again the arrogance of the RCC has shown. First you do the ad hominem attack on Martin and then go on about how the early church collated texts and books. You give no credit to God for guiding these persons (typical of Catholics). And follow that up with succession of the Apostles for which there is no Biblical backing nor any reasoning. The early Church did protect the Bible (for selfish reasons) but again the "look look at me- look look at me" attitude. It's worth noting that God used a donkey (belonging to Balaam) to do His will but the donkey had more sense than take credit for his part.

(The rumor has not been confirmed until the FBI officially denies it.)

...rejects any teaching authority of the successors of the apostles. The Book Rome assembled should have left out the example of pure Catholic teaching found in the first 3 chapters of Apocalypsis Ioannis.
