Recommend a couple books….Night by Elie Wiesel…and The Hiding Place by Corrie ten Boom…….both authors spent time in concentration camps……Corrie at Ravensbruck, and Wiesel at Auschwitz.

I may never go to DC again, but there is an excellent and poignant Holocaust Museum there

Although Jews are said to be the largest group murdered by the Nazis, Russian civilians had it just as bad or worse. Not only were the Germans pushing eastward killing everyone in their path, but they were already being murdered in the millions by their own government under Stalin.

Back in 1978 there was a TV documentary about the Holocaust.

There was a scene of German soldiers running up the stairs in an apartment building rounding people up.

At the time I wondered why the people didn’t just shoot back since they were going to their deaths anyway.

Later in life I learned Europe has gun control.
