Acts, probably written by Luke under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, in Acts 4 tells us that the teachers of the law saw that Peter and John were unschooled, ordinary men (4:13).
The Spirit likewise led Paul to write in 1 Corinthians 3:9-20 that the wisdom of the world is foolishness in God’s sight and the thoughts of the “wise” are futile.
