I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone: for kings and all those in authority that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. ~ 1 Timothy 2:1-2

To Thee I sacrifice a Sacrifice of Thanks, And in the name of Jehovah I call. (Ps. 116:17)
“The sacrifice of thanksgiving is mentioned several times in the Old Testament. It is first mentioned in Leviticus 7:11-15. These verses seem to indicate that the sacrifice of thanksgiving is actually a peace offering that is motivated by thanksgiving. This type of offering included an animal sacrifice as well as various sorts of cereal or bread offerings. There are several features that characterize this sacrifice of thanksgiving. The first is that, like all peace offerings, it was a voluntary offering. It was not prescribed or required by God. It was offered by the worshiper on those occasions when he was motivated to express thanksgiving to God. The sacrifice was willingly presented to the Lord with a heart of joy and gratitude.”
I love this LORD, that this in particular sacrifice what not prescribed or required (ie: written in stone), but written in hearts that love YOU, and want nothing less than to honor You, give you Glory, and have sweet fellowship with You. For us, this is possible through the Blessed Sacrifice on our behalf, of our LORD JESUS CHRIST. I pray, Dear LORD, that this Thanksgiving celebrated throughout our Nation would not be just a day written on our Calendar for a day off or for great bargains we can find in the stores, as if this day is all about us and what we can benefit from it. I pray hearts will truly be opened to who YOU are LORD, especially among the young. We pray YOUR WORD: I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. (Ezek. 36:26)
The blog continued: “In addition, the sacrifice of thanksgiving, again like all peace offerings, was shared among the Lord, the priest, and the worshiper. This contrasted with other types of offerings, which were either entirely consumed (except for the skin) on the altar as an offering to the Lord or partly burned on the altar and partly consumed by the priest. But for a peace offering offered as a sacrifice of thanksgiving the protocol was different. After the Lord and the priest received their portions, the worshiper who brought the sacrifice would take the remaining portions of the meat and the bread and prepare a feast in which family and friends who were ritually pure could share.” – “Through this sacrifice, then, the worshipers celebrated together before God the blessings enjoyed through a relationship with God characterized by peace and wholeness. A sense of communion with and nearness to God resulted from the presentation of a gift to God, a portion of which God then graciously shared with the worshiper. This sense of generosity and communion was expanded as the worshiper in turn shared his portion of the offering with family and friends.”
Oh Dear LORD, this is what the Thanksgiving Day should be. A day of fellowship with our GOD and with each other, in love and communion. This is what joy and blessing means. Togetherness, sharing, giving thanks, rejoicing, praising, and peace. I pray that for each and every family this Thanksgiving.
And the blog ended by saying: “While the Old Testament system of animal sacrifice is now obsolete for the Christian due to the sacrificial death of Jesus, there are some principles here that continue to speak to us today. Though thankful hearts honor God and benefit us, God does not coerce or demand sacrifices of thanksgiving. Expressions of thanksgiving that flow freely from the depths of the heart are profound and meaningful for all concerned.”
May this sincerity grow in us, through us to You, and overflow into the hearts, souls, minds and lives of our friends and families this Thanksgiving and forever more. Amen.
Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a Sacrifice of Praise — the fruit of lips that openly profess His name. (Heb. 13:15)

So I throw up my hands and praise You again and again, ‘cause all that I have is a Hallelujah - Hallelujah! And I know it’s not much, but I’ve nothing else fit for a King. Except for a heart singing Hallelujah - Hallelujah! (from Brandon Lake – Gratitude)

Lord, may You be the center of this holiday. May You be the center of our hearts, our lives, and our minds.
Thank You for all things, great and small. In the Name of Jesus. Amen.

Happy Thanksgiving, Dear Jeanbl.
Dear Lord, we beseech Thee to purge the monstrous Satanic evil that has seized control of our institutions and government ! Bring these evil individuals to justice ! Strike down these wicked individuals and institutions that blatantly and audaciously lie to the public about their true (evil) intentions while painting good people as the real enemy !
Do not let these servants of darkness prevail over Your children ! Send forth Your angels to liberate us, oh, Lord ! Hear our cries and help us, please, dear Lord !
AMEN !
Amen!
Thank you. I had considered posting something about the sacrifice of thanksgiving.
I always figured it had to do with giving thanks even when it’s really, really hard and all you do is want to yell and scream and grumble and complain and you don’t see anything in your situation that you think is praiseworthy.
Amen
Amen Lord Jesus, thank you for the fellowship we have with you and each other, each day is a blessing and a step closer to heaven. In Jesus name Amen.
Joining in prayer. God bless

From Intercessors ofAmerica: Even though Dobbs has long been decided by the Supreme Court, pro-abortion activists aren’t cooling down their anger at the brave Justices who overturned 50 years of legally mandated abortion.
Within the past few weeks, protesters surrounded Justice Barrett’s house, banging on drums and shouting at the Justice while screaming that she is “illegitimate and unfit.”
This is clear harassment of a Supreme Court Justice, which is illegal – but the pro-abortion Biden administration is turning a blind eye.
Join me in blanketing Justice Barrett and her family with prayer as they face persecution for her courage.
Justice Amy Coney Barrett’s home is not the only place she’s being targeted for protecting the unborn.
Hundreds of “literary figures” have just penned a letter to Penguin Random House, calling for them to cancel their book deal with Barrett.
What is the reason they’re citing?
The fact that she voted to overturn Roe v. Wade.
Friend, the radical Left truly wants to ruin the lives of anyone who promotes Biblical values and fights for the right to life.
They want to make our lives miserable so we lose the courage to fight – and Justice Amy Coney Barrett is their latest target.
Will you sign a prayer card for Justice Amy Coney Barrett to let her know you’re standing with her despite abortion activists’ efforts to harass and censor her?
Amy Coney Barrett has never been one to back down when faced with attacks, and we’ve seen these personal and spiritual attacks appear since she was first introduced as the nominee to replace Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
And attacks from the forces of spiritual opposition, you and I know, will be waged against anyone who stands up for the Word of God.
As Believers, we must join together and ask our Heavenly Father to:
Keep Justice Barrett and her family healthy and safe from the enemy’s snares (Psalm 141: 9-10).
Ensure Justice Barrett would show no fear toward the evil that assails her (Isaiah 8:12), but rather overcome it with a zeal and passion for His laws which bring life and liberty to all (Proverbs 10:29-32).
Sustain Justice Barrett so that she will continue to love His word and seek His wisdom diligently (Proverbs 8:17), remaining open and teachable to Godly counsel and heaven’s wisdom (Proverbs 1:7).
Grant Justice Barrett and her family increased grace and blessing as she heeds His voice and obeys His word (Proverbs 21:1).
Today, I need your help as a prayer leader in your community to combat any and all attacks on Amy Coney Barrett and her young family with around the clock prayer protection.
Our mission at Intercessors for America is to inform, connect, and mobilize intercessors to pray for our nation and our leaders.
As his enemies ramp up their attacks -— we must also ramp up our efforts

Psalm 65
To the leader. A Psalm of David. A Song.
1 Praise is due to you,
O God, in Zion;
and to you shall vows be performed,
2 O you who answer prayer!
To you all flesh shall come.
3 When deeds of iniquity overwhelm us,
you forgive our transgressions.
4 Happy are those whom you choose and bring near
to live in your courts.
We shall be satisfied with the goodness of your house,
your holy temple.
5 By awesome deeds you answer us with deliverance,
O God of our salvation;
you are the hope of all the ends of the earth
and of the farthest seas.
6 By your* strength you established the mountains;
you are girded with might.
7 You silence the roaring of the seas,
the roaring of their waves,
the tumult of the peoples.
8 Those who live at earth’s farthest bounds are awed by your signs;
you make the gateways of the morning and the evening shout for joy.
9 You visit the earth and water it,
you greatly enrich it;
the river of God is full of water;
you provide the people with grain,
for so you have prepared it.
10 You water its furrows abundantly,
settling its ridges,
softening it with showers,
and blessing its growth.
11 You crown the year with your bounty;
your wagon tracks overflow with richness.
12 The pastures of the wilderness overflow,
the hills gird themselves with joy,
13 the meadows clothe themselves with flocks,
the valleys deck themselves with grain,
they shout and sing together for joy.
Yeah, the left has so much respect for women. Just like muslims.
This is reprehensible but what else can you expect from the same people who have an insatiable blood lust to kill babies?
Prayers up.
Joining all....
AMEN!!
Amen!
