Can Christian Russia save the world from globalism?
WND ^ | 06/13/2022 | Scott Lively

Two little-noticed news stories capture the true picture of the state of the global culture war today. The first is from the American deep red state of Idaho, where The Satanic Temple is holding a "Pride" event that features a "Drag Dance Party" and "Unbaptisms" – a ritual in which people who were once baptized as Christians publicly renounce Jesus Christ.

The other is from Russia, where the national Duma (legislature) has just introduced legislation to expand its 2013 ban on LGBT propaganda to children to include ALL LGBT propaganda throughout the society.

To my knowledge, I am the only culture war analyst in the world who contends that the current Russia/Ukraine war started not with President Putin's Feb. 24, 2022. "Empire of Lies" speech, nor with the Obama/Soros-orchestrated Maidan coup on Feb. 22, 2014, to replace pro-Russian Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych with their own stooge, but with Vladimir Putin's signature on June 30, 2013, making the LGBT propaganda ban the law of the land…

Apart from the fact that Russia is not a Christian nation, and that Putin himself is an atheist murderer, Russia's domestic policies regarding LGBT have absolutely zero impact on the LGBT policies of any other countries in the rest of the world, including the United States.

So that's a "NO" from Chin.

Putin has had a consistent 70% approval rate because He has transitioned Russia’s economy from a command/control economy to a market economy. The growth rate, year over year, has been significant.

He is reestablishing Russia’s Christian heritage. What more can he do?

"OR you could, just, look at Ukraine over the past 8 years and find proof of the "fascist coup government" killing innocent people in the streets. As this has never happened, you will never find any evidence for it."

The Azov movement arose in the wake of the Maidan Revolution in 2014. It is described as "a paramilitary unit of radical [Ukrainian] nationalists." It was particularly active in Eastern Ukraine where pro-Russian sentiment was highest. It evolved from the "Black Corps" and other extremist groups which held similar nationalistic and militant views. It is probably this group that the Ukrainian priest was referring to. By the way, this occurred in the regime PRIOR to the current Zelensky regime. I do not have a hard time believing that a paramilitary group with extreme right-wing sympathies - even Nazi sympathies - would target Christians.

Talk to Russians. I used to have your same opinion. I grew up shooting “Ivan pop up targets”! Then I began speaking to Russian Christians. They love Putin. At first I thought they were propagandized. Now I think they love their children and their country.

Too many here forget Michael Crichton’s observation when commenting.

“Briefly stated, the Gell-Mann Amnesia effect is as follows. You open the newspaper to an article on some subject you know well. In Murray’s case, physics. In mine, show business. You read the article and see the journalist has absolutely no understanding of either the facts or the issues. Often, the article is so wrong it actually presents the story backward—reversing cause and effect. I call these the “wet streets cause rain” stories. Paper’s full of them.

In any case, you read with exasperation or amusement the multiple errors in a story, and then turn the page to national or international affairs, and read as if the rest of the newspaper was somehow more accurate about Palestine than the baloney you just read. You turn the page, and forget what you know.”

What does that have to do with anything I said? Are you, perhaps, a Russian designed chatbot that just pulls up random things to say in response to text that has been delivered to you?

How can you establish "Christian heritage" without any real Christian belief or practice? As stated already, no one in Russia, except a very small few, even go to church. Putin himself is an infamous adulterer and murderer.

If the standard is being anti-gay, murdering people, and criticizing "western decadence", then Afghanistan, Iran, and even China would count as Christian countries wherein Christian heritage is being reestablished.

The Azov movement arose

The Azov movement consists of about 3000 people, and these days is literally staffed with hundreds of Jews, Romani and other minorities, as the original "far rightists" abandoned it and started their own political party years ago--with less than a percent of popular support.

Azov is the eternal boogieman Russia raises, even though all Russian separatists who were sent into Ukraine to setup the DNR/LNR are known literal Nazis and anti-semites, such as Igor Girkin-Strelkov (former minister of defense of the DNR). These men have either been photographed actually waltzing around in Nazi uniforms, or they have written/founded extreme Nazi magazines and propaganda.

If Azov is this big problem in Ukraine for Russia, why does Russia utilize actual Nazis to invade the country and serve as the puppet leaders of the separatists?

Only Jesus Christ can save the world from the Globohomo Pedophile elite.

Well, that is true, but God would certainly like to see people at least try to combat it. He keeps track of those who are for it, who is against it, and those who don't give a damn. If you believe in God's blessings and curses, this is the reason why Russia is prospering right now and America is in serious decline. All the tricks of the world to try and punish Russia have backfired right back on to them. Just the way God has always worked if one reads the bible.

.

.

This should drive the evil and deceived ones here into a rage.

You apparently missed my point, which was not to defend the Russian invasion or its propaganda but to explain what may have caused the Ukrainian priest to make his claims. In the aftermath of the Maidan Revolution, the country was very unstable and extremist groups like Azof filled the void and often acted as proxies - invited or not - for the government. It does not seem farfetched to me that a nationalist paramilitary group would target civilians deemed sympathetic to Russia and that an Orthodox priest might interpret that as an attack on Christianity. By the way, he explicitly denied that only Orthodox Christians were targeted.

Was I accusing you of defending them? I was just responding to the talking point you shared.

By the way, he explicitly denied that only Orthodox Christians were targeted.

According to the Russians, Jews, Gypsies, basically all minorities were allegedly facing targeted attacks on the streets of Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Russians defaced synagogues, kidnapped and tortured to death Crimean tatars, and persecuted Jews and Gypsies.

Your "Russian Orthodox Priest" is himself little better than a Nazi and should not be taken seriously.

Can Christian Russia Save the world

No. Not sure how anyone could possibly believe that Russia, invading a more Christian country like Ukraine, unleashing massive death and devastation is going to "save the world". By every measure, including church attendance Russia is less religious than Ukraine.

Funny you should use that image, as it was an example of Putin staging an event he did not actually attend. Apparently he pre-filmed this with his Nazi priests, and these clips were inconsistently doctored into the actual live event.

Assuming what you say is true, the fact that Russians who profess Christianity love an atheist dictator is a perfect illustration of how screwed up Russia actually is. As a whole, Russians don't value liberty, they don't value freedom, and they don't value democratic principles. All they care about is one of the thug running the country benefits them personally. They'd rather be ruled by a strong man than rule themselves

Nothing has changed since the days of the czars and boyars.

If Russia was Christian, Russia would not be totalitarian.

If Russia was Christian, Russia would not have supported Chavez.

If Russia was Christian, Russia would not have supported North Korea.

If Russia was Christian, Russia would not have supported the Islamic Republic of Iran.

It goes on and on.

It is obvious, there are global powers fighting to rule the world. The Russia/China/Iran/CTSO/N. Korea, etc, axis on one side and the USA/NATO/Japan/S. Korea, etc, axis on the other side. Who knows, there may even be another/more axis.

Regardless, Russia isn’t going to stop the globalists.

As a whole, Russians don't value liberty, they don't value freedom, and they don't value democratic principles.

70 years of atheist humanist communism wreaked havoc on Russia. The collapse of the Soviet Union brought a time of Russian circumspection. Russian leadership plotted a course back to their Christian heritage. I would argue that they are like us in that they value Economic freedom and individual liberty yes. Liberty to prey on kids, no. Regarding Democratic principles, Perhaps our western view won’t work in Russia. It’s a rough neighborhood! Heck, I’m not sure it’s working in the USA! Our forefathers said democracies can only work when men a governed internally. Additionally, when Jesus Christ returns, we will live in a benevolent Dictatorship. Is Putin a thug? Yes! Let’s say he is a thug. A thug who protects children, restrains LGBTQI supremacy, and protects Christianity. Strange world we live in!

Your tagline...

I do believe the separation has commenced.
I know The Father’s will WILL be done.

We shall soon see who is the great whore of babylon, that fabulous city spoken of in rev 18 that sits atop the beast, and the one all the kings and merchants of
the earth lament when she is utterly destroyed.

That great city is not in Russia.

Russia is hardly Christian.

50% and that’s Orthodox. Protestant evangelization is banned.

Ukraine is 80% Christian.
