Pope Francis on Sunday named as cardinal San Diego Bishop Robert W. McElroy, a Roman Catholic leader who had spoken out against the calls for bishops to exclude pro-choice politicians like President Biden and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi from Holy Communion over their stances on abortion.
The move comes in the wake of San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone's announcement earlier this month that he would bar Pelosi from receiving Holy Communion due to her stance on abortion. In naming McElroy, Francis passed over Cordileone, who holds a higher rank.

On a thread a couple of days ago about the news that Abp. Cordilione's had banned Nasty Pelosi from Communion in San Fran, someone at FR commented that this move was surely not Cordileone's own idea, but ordered by "the Vatican." Some of us actual Catholics disagreed.
I trust that question is now settled.
Cordileone, with the "heart of a lion," had to know it would cost him. No red hat for him on Francis's watch! But as to the crown at the end of the race--I think his odds for that just went up.
BXVI should come out and retire for real (as in, actually retire).
That would throw Bergolio and his minions for a loop. (And undo all of his terrible cardinatial appointments.)
BXVI should appoint him a cardinal tonight.

Remember when everything with Dope francis was a “translation error?” They can’t cover up the evil anymore.
To my knowledge, McElroy is the only bishop in California to seriously implement Traditionis Custodes (shutting down 2 out of 3 Latin masses in his diocese). His loyalty to Team Bergoglio and their agenda did not go unnoticed.
Doesn’t matter what pope or other bad bishops do. This is Jesus’ Church and we follow Jesus!

I am Catholic and I am NOT comfortable in any way that the church doesn’t follow the teachings of Jesus I find it disgusting!!
This pope is pro abortion and homosexuality. He is the Joe Biden of popes chosen to destroy what he leads.
