A majority of Christian pastors in the United States do not hold a biblical worldview, according to surprising new research from pollster George Barna, who says the data shows a spiritual awakening is “needed just as desperately in our pulpits as in the pews.”
The survey, released Thursday by the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University, shows that only 37 percent of pastors in the U.S. hold a biblical worldview.
Among senior/lead pastors, 41 percent possess a biblical worldview – the highest percentage within the sub-groups of pastors. Less than one-third of associate/assistant pastors (28 percent), teaching pastors (13 percent) and children’s/youth pastors (12 percent) hold a biblical worldview, the data found.
An accompanying report labeled the findings “shocking.”
“This is another strong piece of evidence that the culture is influencing the American church more than Christian churches are influencing the culture,” said Barna, director of research at the university’s Cultural Research Center.

oh, and yes Americcan culture is influencing the church ...via the collection plate’s heaviness or slightness.
that used to be the barometer of the pastor’s sermon.
"I've never been a sinner. I've never sinned.
I have a friend in Jesus..."
But don't give up. Note tagline.
Seems it’s coming to planet Earth 🌍 at a quickening pace
Until this nation repents and returns to God, it will continue to go to hell.
Not shocked at all. The Bible predicted it, and many of us have seen it first hand. This is why it’s hard to find a biblically sound church in today’s society.
He looks about average to me.
I watched 20-30 minutes of his stuff yesterday.

Exactly. Some would say you don’t “have a Biblical worldview” unless you’re a Young Earth Creationist, some would insist you must believe one out of several versions of the Rapture, etc. Without the questions, this is meaningless.
A sobering passage - except to the godless who are Hell-bent on perverting this nation and the world.
Psalm 9:17

Oops. My mistake. I believe I am thinking about Bob Bickle.
While at my former Church, we brought in a speaker to talk about abortion. She was well received by maybe one third of the Congregation. The rest looked very uncomfortable, some walked out. So many topics, like abortion and prophecy, seem to be avoided these days. Fill the pews, that’s the main concern of my clergy.

Worthy of repeating
So, WTF is a “world view” ?
I’ve met Dr. Hager a few times. I have some differences of opinion here and there but he’s always been decent to speak with.
It’s easy to see that persecution of the church is coming soon. In Russia, when the communists began persecuting, the average church went from 300 to 15. That is a 95% falling away. We’ll see the same thing here.
Report yesterday that 100’s of 1000’s of people gathered together to pray for the nation- all is not lost. There has always been and zlways will be a strong remnant of true believers but many many cinos. It is the true believer remnant that is part of the restrainer the Bible talks about- those that oppose evil, and fight it as best they can to keep,it from run ing over the world completely.
Thnakfully there are still many kids being saved pit,of the sewers of public education, thouhg the task is getting harder to accomplish the close we come to,the end times, and the more the man of lawlessness is allowed to reign and grow stronger.
Likely the reason the poll was low was because so many false religions have cropped up- people can become ‘pastors’ now by paying a fee online, and many folks do,just that apparently. So pastors may not so,much be leav8ng the faith o4 compromising as much as more and more false pastors have joined the ranks and cater to the woke crowd because that is where the “easy money is”. I dont think a lot of true Christians have compromised, because true chrisitans beleive gods word even when it’s not popular to,do so. I thibk the poll, which usually are skewed depending on the agenda, more reflects an increase in false pastors, and also an increase in the cinos who have gone into it for $$ purposes using wokeism as their draw. The woke are easily led astray and deceived. They want a God created in their own image, not the other way around, and the false preachers provide such gods for them to worship.
I couldn’t find the actual list of questions asked by the pollster, or the method of scoring to determine biblical, versus not-biblical worldview.

One of the questions concerns belief in the inerrancy of the bible, so just that question is likely to eliminate over 50% from having a biblical worldview.
Since the US has constitutional religious freedom as well as a robust diversity of Christian denominations, it is to be expected that any one grouping would consider over half the rest to be heretics.
Count me among those who is shocked the number is that high. Very unlikely that it is.
I wonder how they define “Biblical worldview”?Excellent question!
